This, but every day because I don't want to spread anything that could hurt other people.
I think being made aware of my own breath for extended periods every day has caused me to take better care of my mouth.

I had to throw out about 40lbs of oats today due to what looked like a book lice/louse infestation.
I will no longer leave my grain in non air tight containers.

They were all over the inside of the bag. I didnβt get rid of it because I thought the mycelium would have been effected, I tossed it so the bugs wouldnβt get to my millet, fruiting tubs, and also be creeping around the rest of my house. Iβm not a big of oats anyway and these were particularly dirty to start. I wasnβt about to try and save $15 worth of grain to potentially fuck up the rest of my workspace. Grain in sealed buckets from now on.

I tossed 50lbs of producers pride oats a while back for the same reason. Ugh started hatching and flying around my cult room. It wasn't thay big of a deal cause I was just trying to use the rest of my oats before I started using wheat anyway.

Can somebody start a poll to see what percentage of mush cult peeps first got their start with actives? Iβm curious to know if everyone who grows gourmets started out growing psychedelics or what percentage maybe started gourmet? Idc if this is the wrong thread

Iβd bet that on shroomery itβll be near 100% started with actives.
Even overall itβs probably like 90%. At least in the states.

Not 100%. I started as a mushroom hunter and learned to grow by cloning wild edibles.

I enjoy reading the old stuff too. I missed the old stuff and it's a part of the history here. However, a lot of it is outdated. Hydrogen Peroxide isn't nessecary for cloning and a manure/straw based substrate isn't needed for Cubensis cultivation. This is why Inthepit suggested to read newer stuff. The general rule of thumb is if it's 5+ years old, it might be misinformation or outdated/upgraded.
