Lol I forget who it was but there’s a comedian that has a bit about that.
How he loved tripping as a kid but now if he saw his refrigerator with the bills and to do lists on it his head would explode.

Marc Maron is fun when he talks about tripping.

Baffles the shit out of me.
All it does is add value to the Shroomery when it is given as deserved, and I see a lot of those people.
There are a lot of new faces and people just getting into cult and many people are having really shitty experiences out there in other places before they come here. It is really hard in this crazy world with changing laws and views towards mushrooms in general to find good information and good mentors who's personal motives are in the advancement and success of their peers by delivering in an understandable way, knowledge and tales of experience, and opinions and inspirational ideas.
Mycology is still majorly new to the common world and people in general. On the ground level some of the most diverse and inspired discovery and knowledge base, as well as tangible useful implementation of technique and innovation, cycle right here through the Shroomery. I am proud of this place and of all of you here. I think it would streamline things for a lot of new people who are struggling or successful or even just curious, if they knew who they could trust.
I chose to mention D3 because he is a friend and mentor and I believe he deserves that tag, and it just popped into my head like a cosmic impulse and I felt compelled to share those exact words right here with all of you. Many other people here deserve that tag too.

They seem to tag people every six months, and it’s almost January….
It’s awesome how many people are serious enough to stick around and get tagged lately. At this rate well have more TCs than not soon.

Umm is D3m even around anymore? It looks like he deleted all his pics and such. Can anyone make sure homie is ok?
But yes the changing views on mushrooms is not only bringing positive light but will make this place a valuable resource.

I got so frustrated trying to get away from Bacteria on a wild print with Agar that I said "fuck this shit" made up 2 syringes with different prints and just injected them into BRF cakes. Let nature work itself out in the BRF cake thunderdome.
I'll grow them till they are black 100%, have liquified, or create mushies.
Oh also have spent almost 3 months growing the wrong type of mycelium.

That is a good attitude, you don't succeed until you try and try again until you get the desired results
I confess, my 2 nieces have me watching Mush-Mush and the mushables, so cool to see a mushroom character themed show, instead of them being part of the background. I've seen A. muscaria, Lactifluus piperatus and a Chanterelle.

Yea, I was trying to delete a bunch of select photos and the mobil version kept messing up and not deleting them so got irritated and clicked to delete whole folder not thinking about the consequences. Just been in a funk and not posting much… or even keeping up on lab work.

That happens bud. I think we all just get tired of slaving over a hot pc and petris.sometimes it feels like you the mushrooms are your corporate overlord. I'm trying to branch out a bunch into gourmets, pans, stones etc to break up the monotony.

I confess, I can't think of a more therapeutic hobby than mycology as a whole, there's always something to do and see

Yup. I got bored with cubes super faster. I might not get canopies like others. But I probably could if I cared.
Rather be a jack of all trade and then dial in what I enjoy. Cubes, pans, woodies, gourmets, and now working on exotics.
D3 time for a dose?

Debating on it tonight, since I developed a spore sensitivity I’ve been hesitant but I’ve had plenty of commercial gourmet with no issues so I just need to get over the mental roadblock
