I wrap a big wad of foil around the shoulder and tape it down (pre-pc). Gives a better gripping experience. I started doing that as I like to pour very hot comparatively to others and the foil wad was more for the purposes of heat shielding but indeed it helps with the slosh as well.

I just tried to make an instructional video and of me doing transfers with of colonized agar store in baggies into agar petris. I pulled a chunk out with an inoculation loop and it fell to the floor of my SAB and wouldn’t get back onto my loop so I finally said fuck it and picked it up and dropped it into the petri with my fingers.

I confess that I regret opting out of general ratings early on. I was coming out of a hard place in life and was truly afraid of rejection by my cult family who I consider my sacred brothers and sisters. My choice to opt out has prevented me from being able to say all the wonderful things about folks I have come appreciate and admire in a way that sticks.

I hope that there is eventually a fair and good way for people who made the choice to opt out to make the choice to opt back in.

Much respect all around.

I confess I am so excited after meeting a real life mushroom fanatic like myself! He is the wild gathering type and just randomly approached me to talk. I’ve seen him a few times around town and my first thought was, this dude has to be a cop. But after we talked for a while it was clear he knew way too much about mushrooms to be a cop. Lol. I told him I’d teach him to cult if he taught me to forage. This feels good man.

Everytime someone talks about weighing their coir and measuring water I feel kinda dumb and my eyes glaze over. Who else just has like a jug and knows where the water line should be when you eyeball the size of the coir brick?

I eyeball absolutely everything but agar.

I’m pretty good at it now unless I switch coir brands.

Yeah I don't think I have weighed my coir when spawning or weighed my water when prepping coir in a few years.

I confess I've been lazy as shit recently, I've been struggling to stay on top of stuff and a whole bunch of my last round of transfers went bacterial.  I'm undeterred but I don't like summer.  And life has been increasingly busy/slightly difficult.  But I did find my first bunch of active lawn pans which I plan on eating soon, and I have been maintaining a good dosing schedule.  I might do a couple outdoor experiments for fun.  A little over a year since my dog passed, still miss him very much but the mushrooms have been gentle on me. AKA I hear you on the lightning I was fortunate enough to catch some heat lightning whilst riding the L train the other night, it was quite fantastic.  Pardon the stream of consciousness syntax, thank you, that is all :bongload:

I have my hot water output timed and time erry thang. 11.666 seconds per gallon = 1:29 seconds per 5 K brick. That puts me right at 1 gallon per standard eco brick.

I also confess that I accidently dried at 260 degrees the other day.
