psilo,

have you tried microdosing?

take a small amount everyday. not enough to trip off of, but enough to calm you. ive heard that helps.

It's my family that is bonkers man, not me!

But yes I've done some microdosing about 3-4 times now (.25gm chocolates). It is nice, but I have. It done it consistently (like every three days for a month to see what the longer term impact is.
I'm eating some Kratom 5-7 days a week too - that helps me relax and stay positive

What is it?

I discovered kratom when they announced the ban.  Now I'm slightly addicted to it (I go through mild withdrawls).  Fun stuff till it quits working.

Just stay away from it

Ah! Theres a confession!

If anyone wants a cheap source of Kratom let me know (PM me). I know a guy in Indonesia and he is like a private small business man kind of deal... so the money goes straight to him rather than all the middle men that lead to the crazy high prices you see with US based companies.

His price is about 70 bucks a kilo. (includes shipping).

I do some every day (almost) and don't have any issues when I skip a day or two. Do you mind if I ask how much you do? I do 3-4 grams once or twice a day. Some times I go big with like 8-9 grams. Generally I eat Maeng Da (white or red). Green is nice but it tends to leave me with a headache about 1 out of every three times so I kind of avoid it.

This is good advice.

Unless you're already addicted to an opiate, then Kratom may be able to help you get off it.

Thanks for this! I needed an advice like this as I was really thinking about buying some and I know I might be too prone to addiction for it... Just didn't know how addictive it was. Thx! Probably saved me a whole lot of shit!

Thanks for the welcome, Lobi! I don't know if it will, I've grown a few times before already, I'm trying out my first mono -went with Bodhisatta's unmodified tub. So far the B+ are liking it and are a bit larger than a Bic lighter. I came into this thread because aside from reading everything I can find related to my current position as a cultivator, my other obsession is staring at my jars of grains, probably way too often, and then plating classic rock for the mushies while I check on them.

Confession here as well: I used straight coir instead of CVG, as it's all I had on hand.

I suppose I am the FNG though, so we'll see.

Confession: I've started training the wife as my lab partner and eventually plan on seperating our grows so we can both still have our own space and enjoy it at our own pace, but also teach one another, as my hope is that eventually she will be my equal or better.

It will be a microcosm of what's going on here at the shroomery, but with just her and I. The best part, is she can't be forced to testify against me in a court of law. There is no better partner than your partner  Thank's spousal immunity laws.

Kratom withdrawal,is about as bad as coffee withdrawal

Don't believe the hype

I did kratom every day for months and the withdrawals were 2 nights of insomnia

2 nights of insomnia is too much for my liking. Already have that going on with weed if I toke too long, feel no need to add the worst symptom of weed with another drug... I need my sleep, health gets fucked up when I miss out too much.

Don't ever accept any opiates then. My doc gave me some 5 years ago and tomorrow I'm probably starting a higher dose due to tolerance  (been on the same for 1.5 years now).

I have tried to quit them many times but the pain just keeps bringing me back. The withdrawals, while hellish, I've almost gotten used to. I don't like taking them because of the physical dependence they cause, but I've just recently made peace with the fact that I probably will be until I die. Thanks Army.

The reason I wanted to quit them is because I know that you'll always need more due to tolerance even when used responsibly, and I've seen them absolutely ruin people. There is always this lingering fear that it could happen to me. Just have to stay vigilant I guess and watch myself. It's an easy pit to fall into, and very hard to dig yourself out of.

Did you ever consider ibogaine treatment? You would have to find another way of dealing with the pain, but the ibogaine should help with the withdrawal. I think even in small doses, but I'm not sure on that. As a pain treatment, I'd be happy to look around for natural things..? Pm me if you would like to discuss it in further detail so we don't derail the thread. Also, when I have some more time on my hands I will work some more on my natural health remedies topic in my journal. I bet a lot of people would find it quite helpful.

Ok back on topic.
Confession: I like the taste of spores on my mushrooms, it smells like peanuts or pretzels and can't eat either without feeling sick like Eaton mushrooms

I actually hate the taste of spores. I try to harvest before the veils brake just for this reason. But I don't like peanuts or pretzels either.
