I’ve come to the realization that if I want to raise my kids in a safer community, growing mushrooms is going to be a part of that. But I also realize that I can’t raise them from behind bars. It’s a bit of a catch 22.

Tiptrippy: Ooohhh. Hell hath no fury... That's a tricky one sometimes. Depends on the X for sure.
Adrenochrome: Your user name still freaks me out. I feel you. Let's pool our resources, invent a time machine, go back in time and dose whoever we need to, how ever strong we need to, to end (or keep from ever beginning) the concept of victimless crimes.

I don't like to hide shit from them. Bit I can't exactly tell them what I'm doing. Last thing I need is for them to go to school and have them tell a teacher that their dad grows mushrooms. I could start growing gourmet to help normalize what I'm doing but they're gonna wanna take part. That'd be awesome except at some point they're gonna be like, "Dad, what's up with these other mushrooms and why can't we eat those ones?".

There’s another one called piopinos or something that are pretty much identical to cubes too.
I was in my driveway the other day and four police suvs came flying up and parked in front of my house, I about had a heart attack.
Turns out they were after some guy down the street and just parked where he couldn’t see them.
It would be so nice to not have to sweat that shit over a little mushroom.

I confess
I finally got something in FC after several months. My wife and I decided to move things to their own location. Thanks to the second wave of stimulus I was able to make that happen. 1 year rent free basically. I got 1 JCM tub going now and 1 more going together soon.
Also
I missed the F outta this place. I thank God for all the wonderful people I have come across on here and hope to share the same generosity they have shown me.

That's pretty much how I paid for my FFU lol. I worked 16 hour days for 2 weeks, bought the FFU and replaced that money with the stimmy.

I haven't had a week that hasn't had atleast 15 hours of OT, got about $6 an hour in raises, a few bonuses, and all the stimmys I've never had this much money in my life. I'd I want shit I just buy it and still have savings

I feel this in my soul man.. I have 2 kids at 4 and 5 and they gotta know I'm doing some weird shit. Especially when I'm PCing grains and always have tons of jars around
I’m honest with my kids always. Especially why they should keep their mouth shut. My kids with my wife are 9 and 4. They will find out eventually and I just don’t want them looking at me like a liar later in life. It’s like that father son talk you have with your son and then he is schooling you (way ahead of you dad). We moved things so my son can have friends over, and freely play his games with cams and mics. I don’t trust them little shits.

we aim to kill the stigma around mushrooms in our house. My 2 five year olds help load grain into jars right now we do keep other things in rotation so its not just actives. Actives are all in the lab, but the big green house is in a main part of the house so they get to see the blocks and all that.
told my landlord right away about cult and the hobby (gourmet side at least), glazed his eyes over with going thru some of the process to get oysters ect. He don't think twice about all the supplies and shit now. The girls can tell people all day long dad grows mushrooms

Cam, that’s the way to do it man. My daughter helped me harvest piopinnos once and we made a video out of it. She loves doing whatever interests me, with me, so I always kept her involved. She is 7 now and doesn’t hesitate to tell everyone how much she hates the taste of daddy’s mushrooms.(hasn’t acquired the pallet for it yet)

How about also growing some edibles and getting the kids involved, my grandkids range in age from 1yr-11 years old and they love mushroom hunting with their poppa, not to mention that the microscopy is sparking interest in other areas of science. They like to check the jars for contaminates and see how they are colonizing but their favorite thing is spawning tubs, getting their hands in it and smelling the jars, harvest is something they also enjoy. Projects like this can encourage kids to want to learn more about their environment and the things in it andhow those things play a role in the bigger picture. .

I really should do this. I know my son would love to do it with me. My step-daughter is too much of a princess though lol
