Hi Shroomunity I just checked today after weeks of not checking.
I confess it makes me very anxious how frequently this place gets hacked!
I hope you are all doing well.
Doc... I hope your 2021 is Much Much better. It seems like it could only get better from 2020! Hugs to you MycoBro!

When i saw the discord notification that the forums were back up i literally screamed I joined the facebook group but sweet christ that was embarrassing, it's same level as reddit. I expected way better having the Shroomery name on it!

I confess I got a little bored not having this place to come hang out. I also realized that because my growing is all based on Pheno hunting and not growing bulk. I got lazy and haven't pushed new spores to plates.

I must confess....when I joined this site 9 years ago, I had dried out PF cakes and stupid ideas of growing shrooms on coffee grounds.
Now, Iโm the proud owner of a 2โx4โ flow hood.
What a wild ride itโs been.

I confess I have recently started out cult activities and upon heavy documentation decided to go agar>grain>tub route, because of superior yield, HOWEVER, it's been several months of trial and error, several jars of liquid culture, several hundred agar plates, and my first BRF cake is fully colonized. I just feel bad about wasting my grains on weak genetics, idk.. Gotta cultivate a super agar plate first and make slants of it (etc etc.. neverending projects)

lol donโt worry about wasting grain, get used to that feeling. Plus you never know what youโll get.
Cakes suck to start out with imo unless you run them in a humidity chamber. Otherwise tubs are so much easier to grow when youโre still learning.

Shit Doc, I am so sorry for your many trials this year. The celebration sounds like the most joyous healing occasion and tribute imaginable.
I really missed you all. That isnโt a confession, it is a declaration. I am sure that you do not realize, as I didnโt, how much this group means.
...
I wanted you all to know that this hobby and this place is a lot more important than you may think.

I saw this YETI sticker on a truck. I confess, I want to put all the cube varieties as stickers on my car to see if I get any shoutouts haha

I keep telling myself that I'm gonna stop growing actives. It's only a matter of time before my kids start wondering wtf I'm always doing in that room. But, it's so fun... gonna have to learn how to get my gourmet on.

Thanks Psilo, I'm going to try and keep a positive attitude towards the rest of this year. I will have a huge celebration of life for Mom, Dad and my sister on July 17th. Once that is behind me, I can look forward to the future.
Mom did give me a cute little mush key chain with roach clip before she passed. She and dad have always embraced my passion for mycology. As a matter of fact, they have always encouraged me to expand my mind and to become the best person I could be, to always better myself in every way possible.

Edit: spelling and spacing corrections

I'd say, if you raise them right, it won't matter. But that's just my opinion.

I mostly agree with this. However, I have 50/50 week on week off with my ex-wife so I have to be cautious they don't go snitching to mommy
