I confess I’m pretty excited about my biggest Panaeolus Cyanescens grow yet. I can tell there will be several hundred fruits if all goes according to plan... I mean Pan

I confess my mycology work has been neglected for months.. doing the bare minimum to keep cultures going, been focused on my ganja garden... I honestly think growing good herb is more difficult than growing mushrooms

Hell yeah psilo pan it up!
Mushrooms are so much easier than plants. And quicker. That’s part of what hooked me is the quick life cycle. Weed is cool but waiting like 15 months to grow and cure everything kinda sucks.

So I dosed the 25 gram freshie by making some lemon honey tea with it. I confess, it didn’t hit me as hard as I was anticipating. Drank it at 12 and now 3 hrs later I’m almost at baseline. They taught me to stop growing them because it isn’t kind to my wife to hide it from her. And they taught me that even tho I want to move into the wilderness, I am already domesticated by society and I need to come to terms with that and enjoy the life that’s carved out for me.

I confess I fucking hate growing weed lol super glad I won't have to do it again after this harvest in 5-6 weeks since my buddy is started growing again. Him stopping was the only reason I gave it a whirl and he loaned me a tent and most of everything I'd need and walked me through it. It takes up half my god damn cult room and is a huge hassle compared to mushrooms. The turnaround is like 6 months for me though, over a year is insane.

Yeah, I usually got to harvest in around 4 or 5 months. Though I was certainly not doing things by the book, there's no way in hell I would wait 15 months for a harvest. Nonetheless, I agree wholeheartedly that mush cult for me is more fun, more interesting, and less work

If all the weed dealers knew that once you get over the learning curve mush is easier than weed the market would be way over saturated.

not to mention the cost of operation is way less... don't need high powered lights or nutrients to grow mushrooms indoors, just some cheap shoplights..

Mushrooms are far easier for me, I suck at plants. But I will concede a couple things for those who disagree with me.
First is that growing scale matters a lot. It’s far easier and cheaper to grow an oz of mush compared to an oz of weed. But scale that up to 50 lbs a month and suddenly things get a lot more time consuming and difficult to manage.
Second is that growing mushrooms at bigger scales is pretty easy shit...until it’s not. Tracking down sneaky contam vectors can make a grown ass man cry like a baby. I’m not a weed farmer but from what I’ve seen and read it’s pretty easy to determine what’s wrong when a weed grow goes south. Fixing what’s wrong might be costly but you at least know the issue. In the case of sneaky contams mushroom growing is a bit more of a challenge.
However despite all that I’m sitting in the mushrooms are easy camp cause growing plants is hard.

I have struggled with both at times. If you understand the concepts you need to implement as well as follow the common guidelines they're both modestly manageable with adequate resources and time applied. That said I keep fucking up my plants and I amost entirely trainwrecked my last 24 tubs. Got another 24 bags about ready to spawn this week. Better get some verm to adjust my substrate this time...

Im in the mushrooms are easy camp As well. But that being said I started up again in October and still only have a bunk bul tub of King Oysters that looks like a sad Meatloaf concert Audience.
I do grow plants though, lots of vegetables that I am starting up again. At least for me: the longer I have done this hobby, the more I have become picky about the process. I tend to toss spawn jars if I feel like they might look suspect or have an unhealthy recovery. I might be getting to picky. I also seem to spend way to much time on plates and not enough time going to grain so I still don't have any decent LAGM updates for 2021.

Lol sock I’m opposite. I used to spend a lot of time on plates and now I try to get to grain ASAP. And I still spawn anything that colonizes most of the way
Prob the reason I have a wall of nasty shoeboxes I’m scared to clean in the garage.
