I thought diabetes was from sugar, never heard of saturated fat or meat causing it before.

It's just a hypothesis that fat obstructs glucose's ability to be transported into our cells.  Since fatty acids and cholesterol are large molecules, they can physically make it very difficult for other molecules to bind to the receptors.  It's by no means proven, but it makes sense.

Yeah... kind of. Im simplifying it for the people around here...

Heres a more holistic explanation:
How to trest the root cause of diabetes - Nutritionfacts.org
Its not just animal products though, any kind of saturated fat, wether it comes from animals or plants.

Even the Institute of Medicine of USA made a call for setting a maximum intake of saturated fat of 0 grams/day

I appreciate the input and we should all share our knowledge and experience,  but you have to include something about mushcult in there to keep the thread on topic.  I love this tread because it does allow some flexibility but ultimately,  it has to stay on topic, that's why I throw something mushcult related when I make a non mushcult confession.

Love you family,  you guys and gals are part of an awesome community that is more like a giant family, including the those awkward, embarrassing and even shitty family members and that makes this the best online community that I have ever come across. Thank you for your support and kind words during this trying time for me, I really can't say thank you enough your words of encouragement and prayers, they have been been a blessing.
I hope that none of you have to experience what I've been going through for the last 15 months, but if you do, be patient and have compassion and understanding for everyone involved,  understanding that not everyone is going to handle the situation the same way you do,  try very hard to put yourself in their situation.
Take my brother for instance,  he lives 2 miles from me but has only been by twice to see our mother and hasn't visited my sister at all, I was starting to have real animosity towards him until I was able to sit down with him and listen to his feelings and now I understand that he is not doing this to be disrespectful but wants to remember them as healthy individuals and not the way they are now and I can respect that.  I  respect my biological fathers wishes to not be present Friday when I have life support withdrawn from my sister. She won't be alone because I will be there to hold her hand as she begins the next phase of her journey.
Don't take life for granted,  live everyday as if it's your last and be sure to say "I love you" before you leave or hang up, it may be the last chance you have.

I confess I have been away from this community for too long. Due to reasons, I've only been on here a few times in the last 3 or 4 weeks and I have missed you all and feel bad for what I have missed. Too many new posts to reply to them all but I hate it feels like dismissing those people and posts. I love you all and I love this community as a whole. I am a better person because of you and I can only hope you all feel the same. In all of your troubles and trials just know, no matter how little it may actually matter, you have all the positive vibes\thoughts\prayers\energies\etc that I have to offer.

Early Spring Spore Confession:

I confess I'm getting my shit smoothed out time management wise and I'm worried that the coming warmth is gonna swing my temps more than im used to... this will be the first test of spring in this house... im semi confident I have everything well insulated and ventilated... but there's still that little nagging feeling... lol... if I can stay on top of the temp swings (if any) I should be set to rock and fucking roll!

EARLY Spring Spore Appreciation Confession

I confess that I live somewhere with a climate ideal for cultivation :sunny: so seasons mean very little to me besides a fluctuating electric bill from the AC and for that I am grateful (and feel for all the unfortunate freezing bastards out there )

Early Spring Spore Confession:

I don't have one actually. I ordered my first syringes on Saint Patrick's day last year so I don't have another mush cult spring to compare it to. I am excited for warmer weather though, less stalling out I guess

Yeesh, why? Need me to come over and seal up and insulate your house? My grow room is my laundry room in the basement. It's not finished and needed a space heater over the last cold snap because the temperature dropped to 40 degrees in my tent and killed off all my jambo cultures

I run a space heater year round simply because I keep the house temps low for myself.

My basement stays around 60f year round. Only one heat vent pointing down there. Been meaning to cut a few more in. One vent heating 1500sqft doesn’t do much. Especially in a sealed room. Probably warm up if I did more than a few tubs but I already can’t give enough away as it is. Don’t need any more going. Been meaning to start some gourmet and medicinal.

long time reader; first time confesser. Every time I see an article about someone's mush grow getting raided I go through a huge range of emotions over a couple days. My immediate response is wanting to destroy everything. Not really worried about myself but I get a lot of guilt about thinking of putting my family through that. It actually made me nauseous when the articles about the australian bust were calling the house "unlivable" and how LE and media are spinning that guy into the scourge of society.

Also, I confess I found a fully colonized bag with a pencil tipped sized hole in the side of it. Strangely had no glaring signs of contam so I spawned it 1:1 in a mini mono cause curiosity got the better of me.

I confess, I have such a hard time leaving the house with the pc running. I just had to run out for like 15 minutes and it’s an AA and the lid wasn’t on as evenly as I’d liked so I just imagined the whole house exploding lol.

I confess, I just found this thread. I have been learning about pans and fucking shit up.
I used to program cnc machines and I learned that by watching and doing it myself. So thats kinda how I’m approaching this hobby, except I’m not really watching. I’m reading. And yes in the beginning I was also fucking shit up in the shop too. 😂 Ever see a 50 taper smack a fixture at full rapid with the door open? 😂 only once!!

One of my first fails in the machine shop was trying to load an extra piece of roundstock into the cnc lathe... as soon as that door shut that thing went ZING! and smacked into the side of the building about 20 feet up... scary as fuck!

I confess, i feel like I've been slacking but when I take a step back and look at all the shit I get done in a day im kinda impressed... but I still can't seem to shake that feeling of being unproductive...
