Is that hip wound she had healing up? That thing was the most gnarly wound I’ve ever seen. Idk how something like that would even heal itself.
It's not just the hip, that's the best looking part, Her entire left butt cheek had to be removed, from the L5-S1 area to the top of the leg where the leg and buttcheek meet and the buttcrack to where the hip and thigh meet near the front. I'm going to share a picture, I'm only sharing this because it can happen to ANYONE diagnosed with diabetes, it all started from her falling on her backside to get her from falling out the door. This initially presented as a flat red spot, sort of like a pimple deep under the skin. The following day it ruptured, expressing the nastiest, foulest smelling junk ever, leaving a black half dollar size hole. I took her to the hospital and 4 days later, this what happened.

Please, if you're diabetic, be extra, extra careful or this could be you.

Wow man. I’m so sorry. That is gnarly. I hope they have her well medicated because that has got to hurt like hell.

I swear on my life that the mother fuckers sent her home with NOTHING!!! ABOLUTELY NOTHING!!! No meds, no bandages for dressing the wound, No colostomy bags, Not a fucking thing. I am literally feeding her cannabis oil and edibles. Fortunately, I keep 10 10mg Oxycodone, 5 20mg Oxycodone and 10 15mg morphine that were left after dad died from cancer. The BITCH at the hospital had the nerve to tell me it's against the law for them to give opiates outside the hospital, because of the opioid crisis, can you believe this bullshit. If I don't get results tomorrow, I'll be at my local news network to show the world what they are doing to elderly people with a massive, painful, ulcer like wound. This goes to show just how out of touch they are or how freaking cruel medicine has become.
Edit I confess, I found an article from Albert Hoffman concerning the cultivation of sclerotia in complete darkness will yield bigger better sclerotia. I challenge you to try it out, if you have a sclerotia producing species of Psilocybe or Panaeolus. I plan to put a jar of each Panaeolus species I have to see how many produce sclerotia and see if there's any validity to what Hoffman wrote. I will do both complete darkness and in a room on shelf that is used as a regular living space. Hope you guys try it out and let me know what happens. Thanks

Lol even though a steak size piece of your muscle is exposed you can’t have any pills. You know those old ladies are notorious for giving themselves gangrenous wounds to get that fix.
Seems like that should be malpractice to send somebody home with no meds or anything when they’re elderly and hurt like that.

It should be malpractice to send anyone home in that condition. We may have poor healthcare in Canada but no ones leaving a hospital in that condition.

God, I hope she gets well soon..
Please, if you are diabetic go with a 100% whole food plant based diet. You could be insulin free in 15 days. It breaks my heart seing people go through this things with lifestyle diseases that could be easily prevented and even reversed.

I confess that I've been experiencing an increase in daily anxiety attacks. Like up to 4 or 5/day sometimes. They last for a good hour at a time and they fuckin suck. Cult usually helps a bit by giving me a purpose and a distraction from stress/anxiety but now I'm getting to the point where I want to pack everything up and just hide from myself, I know that I can't and that it's not possible to hide but fuck, my mind races when it happens, crippled by dread and fear.
90% of the anxiety is just raw unadulterated existential dread but posting on the internet on a daily basis lately plays on my mind during these attacks as well. I get the fear so hard I just want to throw my phone into a sewer, pack up my gear, toss my cultures in the garbage and live in the woods. Then I come out of it and it all passes...life is a fuckin trip.

I confess, I too get the urge to abandon society. I feel like I don’t belong in this socioeconomic structure. The only reason I remain there is to provide a future for my kids. Without them I have no need/desire to play the game of life with fake smiles and being a slave to money.

Goddamn. Prayers for all of you. This is why it’s so important to eat healthy foods. For physical, emotional, and spiritual health. Fresh, local, organic. If you can’t read it, don’t eat it. The health industry is covering up for the food industry. They work together. If your healthcare provider doesn’t demand a high quality diet then they don’t really care about your health

I confess that mushcult is therapy, so is microscopy. This hobby literally has been a life saver.
Diabetes isn't just a lifestyle disease, it is a genetic predisposition that can affect people regardless of lifestyle, it has everything to do with how well your pancreas works andverylittleto do with one's lifestyle and some are at higher risk than others.

Well... yes and no. While there are unquestionable genetic predispositions it ultimately boils down to ones diet. Type 2 diabetes is almost exclusively a diet realted disease. It boils down to mainly two factors, saturated fat intake as well as high animal protein intake. Even some health insuranses are starting to suggest plant based diets as a treatment

I thought diabetes was from sugar, never heard of saturated fat or meat causing it before.
All I know is we definitely live close to the complete opposite of what we’re designed for.

Yeah... thats the equivalent of blaming rain for overflowing your roof drainage when in reality the drain was clogged and wouldnt drain properly. Saturated fat "clogs" cells and causes decreased insulin sensitivity, but sugar intake makes the "clog" more evident.
