That's why I give these people props that can keep it hidden from everyone. I've been doing this less than a year and already basically everyone I know probably knows. It is a tight circle, but still.
Hopefully he gets really into it and you can swap cultures and shit with him. Maybe he'll be able to give me some natalensis tips lol

I confess I'm pretty sure my neighbors know whats up too... haven't been caught outright but the wife (who's 53) has been asking all sorts of questions about weed for a while now... the husband (who's 36, lol) I'm pretty sure used to be a stoner... not sure where they stand on the shrooms tho...

That’s awesome AKA! I confess I’m still struggling to dispose of the last 2 months of progress even though I know it needs to be done. Is anyone willing to send me some bangin gourmet cultures to help keep my passion burning? I need a little nudge...

Right? She's got 4 kids in their teens too... moved in with him a few months before we bought the house... he's only 3 years older than me... his wife is 3 years younger than my mom... lol

I was in the garage prepping wbs and dumping out a couple old contaminated tubs. The garage door was open half way and right as I came from the house into the garage he comes ducking under the door asking me about tools. So he gets in and keeps talking for a couple seconds then notices I’m holding a tub with a few mushrooms on it still and trails off.....then goes through this exact sequence
... ... ...
Luckily he’s really cool I’d been considering asking if was into shrooms for a while but never did. Now he’s set on learning how to cult too.

My mailman now knows I grow gourmets... He says "what's up mushroom man!" whenever he sees me, lol. It blows. He says his daughter buys those grow kits, and I feel like I can't really order petris now unless I'm handing out some free oyster kits to prove that's what I'm doing... Guess there's always FedEx/UPS!

my neighbor is a noisy piece of shit. Older dude, 50s-60s. Like to walk around the neighborhood and play the "helpful neighbor" role; offering up tools if he sees someone doing yardwork, taking the trash cans to the street and then back to the house after pick up for like 6 or 8 houses on the block. But from the day I meant him I got a bad feelings so I kept an eye on him. I have personally caught him multiple times peeping in peoples windows (houses with kids and not the houses that he takes the trash out for. and not just a quick looks, I mean like 3-5 mins crouched down, leaning side to side to see around whatever was in his way). A confirmed dope dealer that was evicted 4 or 5 months back shows up about once a month at his house for a few days. More than once I've come outside to find him just standing in our yard (not like near the property line but more like he just stepped off the porch when he heard me coming), looking through the windows of the garage. Just really fucking shady but he plays that friendly old neighbor role so well that most don't see it. Except the dope dealer and her friend that make regular appearances. Dope dealer had her daughter taken away before eviction. That little girl now frequently stays the night at his house. When I was building my greenhouse I overheard him on my security cameras telling the dope dealers friend that I was growing drugs in it. A) I hadn't restarted cult at that point B) this is a medical state and I could grow weed legally C) I am not. After I confronted him about that I heard him and the dope dealers friend arguing about how him threatening me was dumb because it could bring unwanted attention to them. So yeah, fairly certain his is a cook or at least a cooks assistant. I wish I had cool neighbors and didn't have to be on constant lookout.
ok, didn't mean to write a novel there. Back to confessions. I confess I recently found a bunch of old plates (about 20+/-) and was excited because they should contain at least one APE culture and would be the only APE I have left anywhere and my only means to get them back after losing the MSS. Just looked more closely and realized they are labeled using a SKU style system I came up with years ago. The key to the system? Long gone. Written in a notebook that is most likely in a landfill several states away. They are all just a series of letter and numbers that don't really mean anything without a key to reference it to.

Man you should get cameras on the houses he likes to look in so there’s evidence. And I’m really not into getting into other people’s business but I’d be worried for that kid. That just sounds like one of these stories you hear on the news where some strung out single mother lets gross dudes molest her kid for a place to stay and dope.
I’ve caught some old men snooping around in my garage while I was gone to the store but they’re bored retired cops doing “neighborhood patrol”.

Yea that’s fucking creepy man and hella sketch. Get cameras up ASAP to get this creep if he steps it up and decideds to actually go into your house to find said drugs. People like that are always a step away from doing something outlandish

Cameras are on for sure but usefulness is limited due to living situation and reach of wifi. I went back and forth in my head several times about whether or not to tell the people whose window I saw him peeping about it. Wasn't sure which would sound more weird: hey theres a guy peeping in your basement window, or Hey I've been watching this guy's every move because I don't trust him. I decided best course was to loudly call him out on it outside. He seems to look over his shoulder more now when taking trash cans to houses. dude has a flood light\camera on his back porch. I can tell when it records or snaps a pic due to the status light that flashes when it does something. I have more than once stood in view (not on his property) and told him exactly what I know and suspect about him. It's like a goddamn cold war around here right now.
Odd timing that this came up/I brought it up now. Bit of back story: Due to covid I have been living with family member for about 8 months or so now. Part of the reason I haven't done more is that it's not my house and I don't want to cause more stress/problems for them either now or after I leave. Last week I walked in the garage and noticed things were slightly out of place. Creases in mats no longer line up, spots of no dust on dusty surfaces, etc. I couldn't tell for sure but it seemed as though something was missing. Let family member and their SO know and they seemed oddly unconcerned about it but i kept it in the back of my mind. This morning I walked out back and there is a can of engine cleaner sitting on the porch that 100% no doubt has no been there the entire time I have been here but I vaguely recall seeing a similar can in the garage. Fairly certain the old dude is watching the girl while mom cooks. haven't had a chance to talk to family member today but going to ask them if they know why it's there but I'm pretty sure I already know the answer.
As for the little girl, we are concerned. We've been concerned about her since they moved in. She is 5 or 6 and was never in school. Out at ungodly hours riding her bike, no coat in temps that kids should have a coat, etc. Her mom would tell her to go play outside then leave and the girl had no way to get back in so she would just go to house in the neighborhood that had kids and ask for water or a snack or just to play with the kids. It is not a good situation. At the same time, DFS is not a good situation either and we (me and family) know this all too well. As I said the girl was already taken away from her once. I have no clue how she got her back so quickly. One day we actually heard on the scanner that someone called to report a female screaming for someone to call the police at that address. No police ever showed up. It's a bad and sad situation no doubt. Not sure what I can do to make it any better though. Just trying to cover my ass for now.
As for them making entry...... Years ago I caught someone breaking. I saw them enter, they did not see me. I grabbed my pistol and caught them. Circumstance of the situation meant I knew my life was not in immediate danger (I could see their hands and I had them at gun point. No matter their move, I would win). I berated them and stressed how close they were to dying, then let them go. The fact that I let them go almost cost me everything! I will never make that mistake again and I do not say that lightly. And that was just me. now that my family is involved, he would be dead before he knew I was there. Once I talk to family member today about the engine cleaner and unless they say the put it there for any reason (maybe they needed de-icer and it was behind it on the shelf or something, idk), I will letting him know I am done with giving benefit of the doubt. Again, I don't want to start unnecessary friction for multiple reason but we are well beyond reasonable suspicion.
Holyshit! Sorry for the second novel. I enjoy writing and like to be concise so I tend to get carried away.

I confess..gypsys novels, now has me interested! Please keep us updated.
Sounds creepy as fuck! Some of my neighbors now I grow gourmets. Couldn't hide it forever since I live in a 1 bedroom apartment on the top floor and have to carry my pc up and down from time to time. Even have my flowhood in my storage in the basement. Try to only run it before the gym at 4am tho. Not optimal for sure..

Killing them would have been justified as self defense. Letting them go allowed me to be charged with unlawful detention with a deadly weapon and unlawful use of a firearm because I held them against their will. If I had fired a warning shot, attempted murder could have been added to that. The fact that they were there illegally to begin with is not factored into those laws in that state.....

I confess that I’m considering giving my postal carrier what for. My USPS Informed delivery email alerted me to expect 2 letters from unknown members here. I instead received the junk mail for a house with an address exactly 100 off from my own. I took them their mail and inquired if they’d received mine. They advised they had not. Sure hope I get my letters eventually.

If somebody was trespassing on your property why were you charged??
The legal system lets some absolutely moronic stuff through. Reminds me of those lawsuits when burglars fall through somebody’s ceiling and sue the person when they break their leg.
