petri dishes are the best for trading, but a quarter pint jar should fit in a padded envelope

No, actually, I'd decline on store bought tissue clones. They're probably close to senescence anyway, I need real strong proven fruiting cultures for all edibles as I intend to grow them all on logs as well as on beds, no inside grows. For the logs it's very important that it's a young culture, because you can't spread grains in there like you could with other methods. The dowels are spaced apart much further and you can never shake it, and on top of that, other organisms are having a go at the log as well.
If you send a culture, it's best to do so in the form of a wedge in an eppendorf tube in a ziploc baggie inside a bubblewrap envelope. Or on an agar plate with a fresh wedge on it, nicely saranwrapped, and placed inside a piece of pvc tubing that's slightly larger than the plate, and is wrapped in a piece of paper so it can't get out of the piece of tubing. There are other ways, but those 2 ways will ensure that your culture reaches the destination sterile, and without a cracked dish or squished to pulp wedge. A squished wedge could still be used to start a culture, but it's not easy to work with and more prone to contamination. Eppendorf tubes seal airtight, and a new ziploc baggie is sterile inside.
Eppendorf tubes

For trading cultures the best thing to do is buy yourself some centrifuge tubes and just cut out a wedge and put it in there. Trading whole petri dishes is a waste plus they may end up getting broken during the trip.
Just cut a wedge and send the wedge in the centrifuge tube. You can buy a package of 100 off the internet

FYI, shrooms kept me from killing myself 11 years ago. Tripping, back then, showed me I still had more to do in life.

Glad you are here with us MadHatter420
True Confession: I started growing shrooms about three years ago in the hopes of saving my family. My wife suffers from depression and anxiety and really struggles with it. Sadly as our kids entered into their mid teens it became obvious that they too have depression and anxiety. Two years ago all three of them were suicidal in December. My wife was taking yet another SSRI and the kids were not on anti depressants yet. The point being really that despite being on prescribed medications my wife and mother of my kids is ready to off herself off and on - despite therapy and meds. Research was starting to show psilocybin could be an amazing antidepressant. I tried buying some shrooms --- took me forever to find some then it was 80 bucks for a weak chocolate. So I'm growing my own for my family. My wife doses about every 3-4 months and it helps keep her snri working. My son (19) is starting to dose now. My daughter who is 17 and in the hospital psych ward now as I type... well she may be young but I think I'm taking she and her brother on s hike with chocolates... in the hope it helps her keep a better perspective...

I am curious about this as I constantly have these issues. Today was bad! Tried 0.2g this morning, I think I need a stronger micro dose.

I may have to try 0.5. Since I tripped off 8g wet I figured this would be considered to much for micro dosing

Well how much did you trip? You can still have a light trip with a micro dose i would take about 9 to 12 grams wet and have very light visuals but my brain would be functioning 1000% i was using words i forgot i knew haha..
i guess this is a confession i got so caught up in making money i put the hobby on the backburner and didnt have enough time so i have not tripped in months and i can honestly say ive gone backwards in my self i was actually starting to feel normal again

It was one of those "I need music trips". I think I have a higher tolerance than most do. I eat an 8th to just start seeing the "breathing" I was capable of resisting on 7g recently. In the past it was around a half oz dry for me to see rivers of color on the wall.

I really think its more mind over matter when it comes to tripping like people anticipate the trip more and block the high ...
I have yet to not see visuals (knock on wood) but ever since i was a kid i always could feel vibes or sense shit that i didnt think people could not anything crazy but just kinda knkwing something would happen before it does the older ive gotten the less i have those either due to too many concussions, drugs or whatever but i still kinda feel the vibes alot

On a lighter note: I confess I always stop and stare at this and imagine how awesome it would be for simmering grains...

I saw this big silver tank yesterday, I suppose it was a gas tank but I was just thinking like: what if you could use this as a PC and sterilize massive amounts of grain bags in it :0

I've thought that as well, main issue would be to get it sealed airtight... And you would have to have a welder. I know how to weld, just don't have the machinery...

Just today and tomorrow left for the contest folks. Go to page one for the contest rules...
I've seen a few good mushroom Dreams / nightmares but not too many confessions of mushroom dreams / schemes.
