I've never used stick-on sfd'd but pretty sure they must be hydrophobic, I think you'll be fine without foil. The filters on my jars always come out dry, no matter if I take the jars hot out of the PC or wait until the next day.

They stick nice, I used a 1/4” bit and drilled a bunch of my plastic lids. I’m too impatient to leave them in the pc overnight and pull hot. they didn’t seal well some would suck some air in as they cooled and lost a handful. This way I figure it will take path least resistance and suck the air in through the filter. So far having better results. They stick to the plastic lids really well. And fck rtv-ing all those.

Maybe I'm ol' skewl but I fucking love my poly filters

Back when I started I bought a bunch of SFD's for my ball jars (imported from the US, ouch!) so that's why I use SFD's for those jars and I use them whole. Thank god I didn't cut them because currently the lids are almost falling apart with rust and I can't get those jars or lids anywhere near me.

I confess.

Same Josex. I cut 2 90mm SFDs into 8 or so each, and kept the other 23 or whatever whole. I really have no major complaints about either method. pros and cons and the like.....

I’m with you man I was thinking about buying one of those old ass paper cutters schools have where it’s like a tray with a machete on the end and you just line the paper up and push the blade down.

Would be perfect for prints.

I’ve started doing prints in five strips though for now lol. That’s about how many I can fit on the length of foil that comes off the roll. I pull enough to fold it over on itself so there’s no cutting until I need an individual print.

I do eats OG print tek. I cut them all then sterilize everything in the oven then do all the work in front of the hood to maximize cleanlyness. Then worst I got to do when done printing is fold them over. I have two pans prepped to where all I have to do is pull the cooling rack out the one when it’s done printing and pop it in the next one. That way caps aren’t touching the print and can use same caps for several sets of prints.

Honestly I’d rather do swabs than cut foil. in the time I jacked with the foil I could of taken 30+ swab sets.

I like swabs to giveaway, and they come in boxes of 100 pair. Bods double print tek is nice to make extra clean prints for trade/storage.

Yeah jcm see with the old school paper chopper you could just feed that foil through chopping them off in strips. Then stack them and chop into singles. That’s my plan at least.

You mean these? Cuz this is the only way to cut foil if you ask me! But I print differently than most... it takes more time but I feel the end product is much better looking/cleaner than the old ways...

I also like Bod's double print tek. It does take a bit more effort and more cutting of foil but I like the end result. 2 prints for every cap and all use the 2nd prints for trades and keep the first for myself. Don't want people talking shit cause the got a dirty print, ya know. haha

I cut 6x6 squares and fold them in half and then bake em for a while... then I'll place 2 caps per folded foil in front of the hood and set them in an upside down underbed box... so 2 dozen prints per box... I can usually get 4 boxes off a mini mono... or close to 100 single prints off 2 quarts of spawn... doing pretty good in my opinion.
