This is probably the coolest thing I've read here. I have this dream of somehow spreading the magic across the state and what happened there is a pretty good start.

Hell yea! I am still looking at other options and sources but I think that $800 is a good deal! Working in a carpeted room with central air blowing in is so frustrating.

I confess I absolutely hate cutting foil and have been scouring amazon for a precut option that’s oven safe, smooth and not as terribly thin as those candy wrappers. Something like this I could cut a stack in half https://www.clearcellobags.com/foil_candy_wrappers_88hd/GOLD_8X8_Candy_Wrapper_FOIL_HeavyDuty.html

Though rather pricey.

I confess :whathesaid: The cutting of foil for all of its uses in this hobby is probably my least favorite part.

I reuse the foil for jars and media bottles as much as possible for that specific reason.

Well right now I’m cutting foil for prints but yes I hate cutting all foil. I reuse grain jar foil when ever I can. If those 8x8 sheets are oven safe I’d only have to cut in half to get 4x8

The 4x4 candy wrapper ones look too damn thin. I know eats was toying with em but not sure he ever came to a good conclusion on them.

I was asking because you don't need foil for grain jars unless you're using some type of shitty filter like mp tape that you need to protect. Jars with poly filters or SFD's don't need it at all.

Ya, prints, grain jars, media bottles, syringes, etc.

Edit: Sorry Josex, didn't see your last post.

Since I started using SFDs I don't bother with it for those but I do still occasionally run some pf jar or old lids with mp tape. But yeah, regardless of purpose, just hate cutting foil.

I have some micropore but didn’t know it wasn’t necessary with the sfd. I got a bunch with the stick on sfd’s
