Or Sue!
I confess I can't tell if I ask really dumb/obvious questions or if it's something no one has tried so they can't comment. But the question just ends up like a dangling participle! And then the board goes quiet like I killed it!

You can always bump it every 5 minutes like that guy rick. What ever happened to him lol. He got mushrooms, so idk if he had a bad trip and never wanted to come back or what.

I had the same thing happen with one guy, and the other two that I know and trust are getting into cult themselves lol. Part of the reason I didn't give up on those plates was mostly to get prints for them lol. I still have way too many mushrooms but not enough prints

"You can always bump it every 5 minutes like that guy rick" Or I could be totally outrageous like meaculpa.
It's also interesting while researching to run across a thread with flames or the person's question didn't get answered and then they disappear. 4 posts and haven't been seen for 4 years!

Heard that. My wife thinks the whole process is gross. She had an amazing first trip with me about 6 years ago and at some point during the trip decided she loved it too much and wouldn't do it again until our kids are older and put of the house. My brother is tired of seeing pics. He said quit sending pics unless it's yield. 😒 I guess some people just don't share the interest. Might sound corny but I'm falling in love with the hobby. I enjoy every aspect. Even when I see contams I think its cool AF.
I confess that I'm thankful to have you all to converse with.

Well it's as if the universe was paying attention or one of my AA associates is reading these threads and knows who I am.
I went to AA last night and talked to this cat that I've chatted with before during smoke breaks. The last conversation we had he asked about one of the mushroom stickers on my water bottle and I told him that I'm obsessed with mushrooms (which is true, I'm fascinated with fungi, not just psilocybin) and that I ate mushrooms one time and had a great trip.
Well last night after the meeting he called my name as I was walking to my car and I turned around and asked him what was up. Homie tossed me a 1/4 pint jar of dried mangled cubes. I laughed so hard and gave em back. I came clean, or at least clean enough to let him know that I have way more mushrooms than I know what to do with and I was gonna bring them to him and others in the AA group lol. We wound up talking and I told him that if he ever gets into agar that I'd give him some cultures

Speaking of too many mushrooms...
I confess that when I’m harvesting and trimming at the dehydrator I often think “wow I bet a lot of people could trip on what I’m trimming of the stem butts, and those mushrooms I’ve dropped on the floor, and the old dried ones sitting around the dehydrator I forgot to pick up and will toss because they’re a bit spongy...”

lol yeah I used to see how big the stumps some people left were and be like wtf there’s gotta be at least a dry quarter ounce on there. I get it now though. Much rather save time and not surgically harvest and clean everything for a few percentage points increase on the harvest.

Waiting in front of the dehydrator and taking a peek feels like waiting for Christmas cookies to be ready.

I confess i am wayyyy too fuckin picky about how i harvest and dehydrate. Aka's totally right, a few percentage points aren't worth the time. I bought a ceramic steak knife and it has significantly dropped my harvest time, but we're still talking 20-30 minutes for some tubs. And then laying them out on the dehydrator trays all nice and orderly. At the same time, I've always been very particular and being picky and exact is normal/therapeutic for me.

Bro. Get an electric knife. Takes less than 5 minutes a tub. https://www.shroomery.org/forums/showflat.php/Number/26898448
Also, colindars on top of dehydros work well for the lazy.

I confess, when I went to see Munch's harvest video I was really hoping for a sound track. Great video but how much better would it be with chainsaw sound effects or the Sorcerer's Apprentice or Night on Bald Mountain as the sound track? ( https://www.dailymotion.com/video/x620yq4 ) ( )

I confess I haven't felt like fucking with transfers for nearly two months. Working in the hot weather combined with the amount of contamination I was seeing so frequently really punched me hard in the dick.
This morning I pulled out some plates and found some agar pins to work with, so this evening I did a few transfers and swiped a relatively fresh print that was gifted to me recently.
Cooler weather is finally here for awhile and I'm looking forward to the decrease in contamination that it usually brings.
