I throw up 80% of the time I eat a dose of cubes over 3g, so that side effect of ayahuasca wouldn't be enough to deter me lol

Brand new to the community. But, I am here to learn!
Last night as I was preparing my Agar for my plates I completely spaced pressure cooking the containers! Rookie move haha.
So, tonight I dumped four of the seven containers and re-poured my agar and they are currently cooking in a pressure cooker. I had labeled the ones that are actually being sterilized. I am almost excited to see the difference between them.

No need to waste em, you can always resterilize the agar

The only problem is that they were already inoculated. I didn't want to kill off the spores in a sterilization. I'm not too worried yet, I just inoculated the sterilized agar. So, I'll probably post pics in a couple of days.

On a few occasions, I've let clean unused plates dry out. Rather than ditch em, I just added water to right puck thickness, PCed it, and voila. worked fine.

If you're careful enough you might be able to get tons of fruits from it via clone.
I wanna know why and how you let it get that bad

The dark droplets on the trich at the bottom are causing a disturbance in the force.

Ha ha! Well I knew this was happening from about one week post spawning the tub. I put it in a different room and just let it roll to see what would happen.

^ I feel like ive that has already been done... and like ive used one of those syringes before... ^
recently ive been doing a lot of isolating and cloning just to have to dump tub after tub without a single flush... somthin must be up
I remember leaving a tub completely unattended for weeks in the summer heat last year with no AC, it had to be at least 90F+ on the daily. came back to find the whole thing covered in spore cum with fruits pushing the lid off a 54q, if only I had showed up sooner....

praying for your dad Doc. It's not fucked up at all to hope someone you love passes peacefully.
jcm, thanks for sharing that story. Mushrooms are amazing teachers and more people should hear about these experiences.
Psilo, I'm just impressed with the fruits that are there, the force is strong with them!

I have a confession and would like to express gratitude.
I have only ever had two grows. I did what is strongly condoned inside the community not because of laziness but ignorance. I injected multispore syringes from an unverified source and got fruits at the end of both experiments. I got a lot of trich too, but thats not surprising.
Because I'm such a noob, I don't have pre-built prejudice in looking for mycelium and I think this helps me. I've never isolated a cubensis culture. I've tried, but my dumbass couldn't figure out how to get agar that worked.
But this is where the gratitude comes in. I appreciate everyone working on this hobby and developing it further and helping people like myself. Even through your normal conversations I was able to figure out a lot of stuff without having to register. I signed up because I wanted to help in anyway I can, even if it is telling people how stupid i was and why to avoid it.
So by being ignorant but passionate I think I have a knack for selecting mycelium now as I have 10 good pan cyan cultures going and 4 citrinopileatus that I'm working on training to eat a stump in my yard, but I may take a different route.
So anyways, thanks everyone. Even Rick, the dude that thinks I'm a zero mushroom mycologist

Lol, zero mushrooms for you on this post... but for real, this site is amazing and I’m glad you’re a part of it. It helped me deal with depression and anxiety when I first started this hobby. I used to not have much of a hobby or purpose I felt. After coming here it’s like a messed up family but in a good way lol. I was away for over a year but I’m glad to be back.
