I really like the words you wrote ManifoldPrime. You seem like a genuine dude.

I’m wondering how old Doc’s son is and if he’s tried mushrooms himself. Also curious about how old your dad is doc. Not that it matters but I hear a Psilocybin mushroom trip can help people better cope with death. If your son is to young though I’d understand why you wouldn’t want that. I was 16 when I went on my first journey on 3.5 and that changed my life.

Edit: my mom died from cancer when I was around the age of 18. It’s really hard to see your loved one suffer like that. My mom was so skinny on her dying day she looked like a skeleton. I was doing meth to cope with everything but quit that a month before my mom passed. I just wish I could have been there for her more. I know she loves me though and wouldn’t hold anything against me.

After my mom passed my gf at the time and I did a eight of mushrooms in my moms home. I swear I felt her presence there and saw her apparition more than once during that trip. It was a hard trip though because I still had so much emotion that the whole thing felt like a hazy dream. I still didn’t want to believe she was gone.

Doc whatever happened with your dad taking a dose? Might be a good thing to do together if you still can.

Hopefully everything goes well for you soon, nobody should have to endure stuff like that.

I grew up in an area of Southern California that had much higher cancer rates than normal, and it eventually came out that there was a secret nuclear facility that had a meltdown decades back, supposedly the worst in US history. Then every year when there’s wildfires the smoke spreads radiation all over.

You never know man.

Damn Doc, sometimes life just doesn't know when to stop and let someone have a breather. I know it's the smallest of things, but you know that you're not in this alone. You have this wonderful community that's always supportive of you. We appreciate you and the research you do and genuinely don't like to see people hurting. Hell, that's why some of us are here. We hurt and the mushrooms helped us and help others.

I cant attest to having been hit with the bombshells you have but being a dad makes it relatable. I cant imagine having to go through what you're going through and I commend you on pressing forward with the mentality you have. If it helps, try to structure your day out to help ease some thoughts and get into a groove. I know everyone is losing sleep and stressing because of this year, but it's super important we take care of ourselves as well.

We're no good to anyone if we're just as sick and helpless. We need to get solid sleep, maintain good diets and try to at least get outside. Doesn't have to be running or anything, but fresh air and sunshine help.

I really do hope you find some resolution in these stresses and are able to find some solace. I'm sending you love

I confess I picked up my first case of wide mouth quart jars today and a ten pound bag of finch seed. Already have 24 plastic jar lids prepped with quarter size sfds.  I still get a little worried about this hobby and the legality of it all. My roommates are kinda iffy about it especially since one of them owns guns. I informed them that I’d be growing edibles and medicinals too but I haven’t got around to that yet... on my fourth transfer with two varieties and they should be ready to go to masters this time. Does anyone else worry about the legality thing? I’m still pissed they are illegal! We need to legalize these glorious beings!!!

That’s one big stressor I cut out of my life a couple years back. As I get older I realize a lot of stuff isn’t worth dealing with.

Like three people know where i stay these days. It gets a little weird deflecting acquaintances when they want to hang out but I’d rather meet them at the gas station and go out for the night from there than worry about getting robbed or jammed up if they find out about the mushrooms.

That’s a big reason I’ve got chihuahuas, they hate everybody but me so anybody gets anywhere near the house and they let me know.

i used to worry about it and worry about sharing on here. hell it took 3 years of lurking b4 even joining and making my first post. but having a hobby such as this that you love so dearly and cant even share it with anyone sux ass so there has to be some kind of outlet. only 1 friend knows what i do. i have ppl over all tbe time and i never even worry about it as totes crammed full of shit in the laundry room just looks like storage and all cultivation takes place in the bedroom and im very careful about keeping doors closed when friends are over. im 43 and my friends are all the same age as we all grew up together so even if they were to find out itd be no big deal but still im cautious. my life is pretty mundane i get up and go to work 5-6 days a week i dont bother nobody i have no criminal history what so ever. even with 25 years of opiate/heroin addiction i managed to never go to jail by some miracle lol. plus i dont deal anything i grow. hell i cant even give away shit to friends more than twice a year lol. so sadly tbe majority of what i grow that i dont consume or give away just goes in the trash. so anymore the way i see it is if they wanna spend all that $$ on an investigation for a guy who causes no problems goes to work every day and dont deal and only produces 2 trays worth a month and has zero criminal history then fucking let them. il be out on bail in an hour and il get probation 🤷🏼 thats about how i feel these days

No arrest dope fiend club!!  :freewilly:

Straight up miracle. Even with my extreme caution over the course of so many years statistically something should’ve happened.

I confess I’m super happy not to worry about interacting with police because I’ve got dope on me anymore.

Also I went to run the pc yesterday and got distracted while it was venting and forgot for a few minutes. Last time I did that I melted the tyvek and rubber seals on the lids. It wasn’t that long this time but I ran out there and saw it was still steaming but I wanted to add more water to make sure.

I poured some water in down the side like the moron I am and I’m pretty sure I heard a bunch of glass crack.

Immediately after that I noticed the burner had gone out. Turns out the propane tank finally ran dry. Worst pc session ever.

I am starting to get paranoid about ordering things on amazon. the algorithm there can definitely count one and one together since I get suggestions to buy books about psychedelic mushrooms and such
:fatfear:

I confess I felt really bad the other day when I saw the excited look on my husbands face after I told him that I am going to make cakes...
