My first attempt at WBS bulk success!

So I've been growing with brf cakes for a few years now. I've been wanting to try WBS and trays for a long time now. Finally took the plunge and gave it a try. For starters I just used a multispore syringe. I'm super happy with the results for my first go at it. Here's some pictures of the results. These are Nepal chitwans.

Also while I was jumping into something new I decided to give agar a try. Here is a pic of the first dish I put a drop a spores on.

Since this dish came out good. I've done about 29 more. All experimenting with drops of spores, samples from growing shrooms, picking pins off sub and transfers from other dishes. All of which have done excellent! Some looking way better than this first one. None have come out contaminated. Except for one. So I'm super stoked about this. Can't wait to see the results of the agar with WBS and bulk.
I also have a mono tub with albino A+ absolutely covered in pins. My first time with mono tub experience as well. I'll be sure to share pictures of it too when they get bigger.

Thanks guys!
Here's a pic of the albino tub anyways. Excuse my shitty liner job. I had it taped to the sides. Then quickly realized it was causing water condensation to drip down onto the sub and pool. I knew that wasn't good. I just pulled the tape from the sides so it could drip under the liner. Next time I will know better.

You squirt a little water between the liner and the substrate on all four sides. Something like 10ml a side for tubs around 60qts. It helps support a big pinset cuz they're gonna suck a looot of water as they grow.

That is incredible.
What's the yellow tape for?? If your trying to tape the liner to the walls you should know it's actually better to have the liner not touch the walls so that when condensation rolls down the sides of the tub it can collect between the tub and the liner instead of pooling on top of the sub.
Amazing job, congrats!

Yeah I mentioned the tape up above. Found out first hand about the water pooling really quick. Only took a few days to realize that. In fact I got tired of looking at it and trimmed it off tonight. Then bottom watered it some. I'll post more pics as they get bigger.
Also here is a pic of what I had that Nepal tray in. Miniature green house. I think I've seen on here people call them Martha's? I have other trays in the green house. One Ecuador and some blue meanie's. I like the green house but I'm having a problem keeping the humidity up. I have two trays full of perlite on the bottom and a cool mist on the bottom shelf. I keep having to heavily mist the trays. I noticed them brushing blue from not enough humidity and drying out.
But honestly I'm sold on the mono tub. Don't have to mess with a humidifier and all that. So once these trays finish. I think I'm just gonna buy more tubs and ditch the green house.

The nepal tray is on far bottom right. It had already been harvested when I took this picture. The one with biggest pins now is ecuador/Nepal mix. I had two left over jars not enough to make a tray each so I just mixed them.

Yeah, I think the mono tub is where its at. You can tinker more with the martha though.
It's just to easy to make a few mono's set a timer and throw in some pollyfill. Also you can stack the shit out of them!

Nice work. How much more work did you find WBS vs BRF, would you say the payout worth the extra effort?

Yeah I'm loving the mono tub so far. I think if I can get the humidity issue addressed with the Martha I would probably keep messing with it some. I've read some people have to use two humidifiers to get it to that point. One cool mist and one ultrasonic. I checked my local stores and couldn't find an ultrasonic though. I may have to order one off the web. Probably doesn't help that it's winter cold and air is dry af right now.
The substrate I used in the tub and trays is just coco coir and vermiculite. Did the whole bucket and boiling water thing. Was super easy.
As for prepping the WBS vs BRF wasn't to bad. The WBS did take a Lil more time due to having to let it soak. Making the lids for the quart jars wasn't too bad. I just made them ahead of time while the birdseed was soaking. Then simmered and pressure cooked. As for brf I can make and just throw straight into the pressure cooker.
But I will say I can definitely can tell it's waaaay worth the Lil bit of extra prep time. The quality and size of the shrooms look better. Bigger, thicker, more solid stems and better looking caps. Just better quality looking shroom in general. I haven't had a chance to eat any yet to compare potency. Plus I'm tired of all the misting, fanning and dunking that comes with the brf cakes. Seems to be time consuming doing that multiple times a day everyday. I've been running two sgfc's full of cakes stacked double and triple high with foil in between.

try the no simmer wbs method. talk about easy... and in terms of prep.
its soaked 24hrs. and drained 20min so in my mind my prep time is 20min.
