PF Classic Slow Colonizing

Hello,
SWIM has been out of cultivation for almost 17 years now and just jumped back in. Thanks to the generosity of a provider throwing in an extra syringe for mentioning this site, there are 7 jare of PF Classic colonizing. Some are doing well while others are lagging. They plan to just fruit from cake as it has been rumored it does not spawn well. They've flipped the lagging jars to increase air exchange. Should the jars stay upended? Would it hurt the almost colinized to stay in the jars until all are complete? They will placed in PMP. Thanks in advance for any replies.

Better to fruit the jars as they are ready, meaning full colonization plus consolidation time. Since they are cakes, it should be fine to fruit them at different times, no? Is there a reason you are looking to avoid this?
PMP is antiquated technology by now. A shotgun fruiting chamber is the recommended way to fruit cakes these days. Use one if you are able.

Welcome back! A lot has changed in the last decade. Most people on here don't recommend flipping jars or PMPs, although some still do. Flipping the jars can disturb the verm layer, but if there already flipped it won't hurt them to stay that way as per my experience. PMPs have taken a back seat to SGFC for increased FAE
If the slow jars are only a few days behind it won't hurt to wait, if it is much longer you might have a bacterial issue.

Pretty sure they prefer all at once for time constraints. I see they can be placed in the fridge for a while. And the pod is outdated to the shotgun!?!?!?!? Doesnt one require misting and fanning? Next round will be a monotub, but they are under the assumption that the classic won't spawn and aborts.

the shotgun had much better air exchange, which results in better yields and is less ideal for mold. Cobweb barely exists anymore since the shotgun took over, despite the need for daily misting (no fanning).
There is a TC here George Costanza who says a pmp works just as well with a few modifications. Mainly the addition of mono-type holes and multiple bubble wands. But ultimately the SGFC is cheaper and easier to dial in for most people.
And yes you can put cakes in the fridge. That will work fine.
Edit: also nobody uses SWIM anymore. It doesn't work anyways. Good luck in what ever you decide!
