Lol, and you assume that my research work is worthless. You wouldn't know cause you definitely never learned what research is and how it's applied to better humanity . Spell edit

did i assume your research work is useless, petulant child?
no i didn't. i said wasting your life at school is worthless. did i say that you were wasting your life at school? no i didn't. stop wasting my time and just admit that you foolishly made like ten different faulty assumptions, and that you're trying to appear smart for the sake of the fact that you 'know math'.
ooooooo, so smart! yet can't make a logical inference worth a damn in any informal setting. man, you sure are slow.
tired and cranky, maybe, but not slow!
and it's the internet too...

4 years out of maybe 75+ years of my life at school.
Wasting your time?? just turn of your computer, you time waster.
No more from me, you'd best go to your room and think about what you just said, you little rascal

and actually, for the record, since i have to explain this now. i'd say that it sucks not knowing math. it's annoying enough to come and ask a stupid math question, without people jumping down your throat for it. you need language to help explain any sort of mathematics, any sort of proposition- and people can be really good at language, without needing to know math.
so why be such dicks about it? i had fun in this thread. bloodsheen was like "see this is why i nigged akira, my experience is sooo much better" (LOL). and trees was like "you're invalidating my time by statements of fact that fly over my head! i'm confused!"

and how long is that knowledge going to persist...(i recall a certain someone discussing retention early in this thread- but fuck it, i guess we have to cover that again)
how useful is what you've learned and how long is going to be geared towards knowledge? how long will that learning endure, because it is overshadowed by new information?
don't jump down the guys throat because he didn't go to school, you big meany head. (we have another word for that i think, but i'd probably get banned.)
he isn't 75 years old and wasting his time. he doesn't need to be. he never needed to be. you just can take your pedantry and shove it.

so now that a simple thread where someone asked for help was given the asshole "go back to school" treatment (even after the fact of being given the answer- and all together nothing ever being said to help OP to even want to go back to school) -- how does everyone feel?
better about themselves?

Anyone who worked this out themselves probably used a calculator rather than fucking around with long division or whatever, because truly doing the calculations manually would be a senseless waste of effort to achieve more unreliable results.
These days though we have better calculators (e.g. Google) that can just take "1400 feet per second in miles per hour" and spit out the answer. No need even to recall the number of feet in a mile.
Similar conversions in metric ditch a lot of the unnecessary complication and trivia memorization, with the seconds-to-hours part being the only thing that isn't just a matter of moving a decimal point. Switching out traditional time measurements for a decimal alternative would solve this but it's unlikely to happen.

I started practicing algebra today because of this thread. I been meaning to "ban" myself from visiting unproductive parts of the internet.
Like someone else said earlier, there really is a plethora of information out there on a huge variety of subjects. I feel like if i spent all the time i use on video games and shit-posting on self-educating instead, i'd be happier.
If i get in at least a couple hours a day its a start. imo.
I just finished a section on dividing decimals and then some basic algebra equations and im not as lost as i thought i'd be. when i do get an answer wrong, which doesnt happen often so far(its still on basics though) its usually because of a slight mistake i made in my arithmetic.

Good luck in your endeavors.
What's another way of wishing someone well without using the word "luck" or any of its synonyms?

but seriously though, an encomium? i wont to write one of myself methinks.
but then why not anyone else?
but an encomium of grace?
or a panygeric of grave!

From simple math to complex language, this symposium of idiological simpsonesk retardation on a website built on unity of thought and expression of meaning truly highlights the simplistic ape like culture we find ourselves in.
