Psilocybe allenii outdoor grow 2

Here is my first grow- Psilocybe allenii. Cloned wild fruit to agar to rye grain jars. Two fully colonized jars (not pictured) were used to g2g ten quart jars on 12/20/2016. LC was used to inoculate four spawn bags with rye berries and 10% mesquite chips this morning 12/21. I will be moving these grain jars/bags to woodchips outdoors after they have fully colonized.

1-16-2017 The spawn bags and jars are fully colonized. Went ahead and placed one spawn bag and one jar into three bins. Found these ones with pre-made slits at Home Depot. Drilled small holes into the bottom for drainage. Rodents got into one of my uncovered bins, so I secured some mesh over the top. Seems like it will work but those rodents are pesky motherfuckers.

2-27-2017 Planted the first three bins today, along with some Rhododendron. Made for a nice 4' x 10' patch. It was a sea of white before I added a top layer of wood chips.
New bins on the way, along with some new species on agar.

Funny. I threw out 8 L of rye (contaminated) a few weeks ago and it hasn't even been disturbed by birds or rodents. Now moulds and bacteria are starting to eat it.

Before getting a proper PC, I tried my hand at WBS and ended up with 10 jars of trich. So this is technically my second grow heh.
Glad to see some experienced woodlover growers stopping by!

A month later, the mycelium is nice and thick. There is enough mycelium on wood to plant these without worries of rodents. Going to make 4 more bins later this week with more grain spawn.
