Okay, I had to cut almost a hundred caps off the top canopy in order for the rest to receive light. They were already flattening and fixing to make a huge mess. I am figuring I just leave the big stems attached to the sub so it doesn't damage the younger fruits while they mature. Also the sub has pulled about three quarters of an inch away from the tub since I didn't use a liner. Do I need to bottom water the sub now, use a syringe to inject water into the sub, or just let her ride.

They are all ready to crop.  U dont want them chucking up spores everywhere.  Some say the best time to harvest is just b4 the veils break.

There are a couple of things you can do.  Fill the tub with water and weigh the sub down.  I use containers filled with water.  Or just leave it and use what it has.  If you pick the tub up and it feels heavy then you should be ok.

I would soak if it where me as with this good set of genetics you should get some monster fruits in the next few flushes

What's the best way to harvest these fruits without doing too much damage to the substrate, or does it matter. As soon as I pulled up the first clump I realized this isn't the same as harvesting off a cake. The sub is a lot more delicate.

There's always a debate about harvesting. Do it whichever way you want. I cut it's easier.

Its not the kind of light you use its the point in the spectrum the rays come from.  If you want an optimal grow use a light from  6500Kelvin which is a result of the best mycologists doing numerous tests over many years.  If you want to half arse it and listen to lazy sloppy advice just get an LED.  Any light is better than none but as said above for best results.

There are various ways you can harvest, twist and pull, which can cut up your sub or cut with a scalpel as close to the substrate as you can.  The base turns back into mycelium.

I do appreciate it fellas. I didn't know if the stumps would start to rot and cause bacterial problems.
