Oddest video game memory?
    #23914448 - 12/10/16 08:19 PM (7 years, 2 months ago)

I got a couple oddball memories that stuck for no apparent reason.

I played whiplash with a cousin and we beat pretty much 95% of the game together, but we couldn't beat the end. Well sure enough he had to go back home, leaving me with this empty game and feeling, I couldn't roam in that game anymore so I stopped playing and never beat it.

Another time, I was playing kingdom hearts, and eating falcos pizza. The game was awesome and so was the pizza, it was such a perfect combination, that I'll never forget it.

there are actually a number of places I associate with death and tripping

catherine

**the legend of zelda twilight princess town as a dog, very ghostlike

***the swamp at the very bottom of blight town

this one area in re4 that is outside torwards the end of the game.. it has all these ganado's running around, but the area is mostly grey and surrounded by walls, there's a waist high wall that it looks like you can free run over and ramps everywhere

big small world in mario 64 at the corners of it
metal mario in the cavern
inside the pyramid with the hands, the area outside
inside the igloo, or on the snowy peak

**the forest temple in legend of zelda orcarina of time
***the boss fight with the paintings there
**the desert where you follow the invisible poe
**gerudo vally, that bridge and the waterfall below

***the four seasons level in banjo kazooie with the giant tree in the middle

these places pop into my mind when tripping
they seem very familiar which is why whenever I visit them I think I'm going to die soon

it doesn't work happen with HD graphics for some reason its like there is too much going on for me to layer my personality onto it or vice versa... maybe they just arent as creative

oh yeah I sent H. Miya a message on twitter and he removed the 'i' from his name
a week later they patched out this bug with the great dragonslayer sheild, where you would sleep under it if you did the gesture
i have a photo of it
http://imgur.com/a/X5hdV
i thought it was historically accurate which was why I told him i found it
i then sent him some notes on black watch, egil the strong and some bloodborne stuff
about a month ago the DLC came out and one of the bosses is just a pvp player with a dark sword and he's running around in a kilt, if you kill him it says in the end he was accompanied by a wolf and a page.
a page is a male servant. what does that have to do with the boss? absolutely nothing.
shame on me for deleting those tweets back in july..
some of the enemies are even called followers, on twitter people you friend you are called followers lol
fuck no one will ever believe me now
there was even priscella on my page at one point, the synchronicity is that bad

Sounds awesome, I can see why you associate those memories with tripping, they go great together.
As far as the death part, I have no clue. I guess that's just your anxiety kickin.

I was playing rome total war, and it was a snow swept vista, there was a building in ruins and suddenly I had an epihany and that building bought me to tears. I thought of all that had come before to get to this stage, and all the dead ends and broken pieces along the ways.

I didn't even care about the battle at that point. I stopped playing the game to just focus on that one point.

black watch is scotlands army they fought and were called highlanders
i sent h.m. links about stuff that happened to them in the 18th century, my football team uses their name for our  first string defense also in football we use a pig skin ball

dark souls 3 is based off of welsh/scottish mythology
angels with wings are a welsh thing
also in the DLC those big guys are based off of berserkers from egil's saga, they wear fur and bite their shields, they are almost demi gods like hercules but they're from viking mythology(norse)

i just thought black watch were cool18th century warriors, read my links to find out more!

Me and a bud were playing Super Mario World on SNES on the forest of illusions part, he went down a pipe just after losing a Yoshi to a jackass football guy. In a box in the corner of the room, there was a cross between football guy and yoshi. I was so hyped. He accidentally went upside though, diddnt get to ride the glitch. Never seen anything like it, those cartridge games can do weird stuff, no?

What are we but cosmic dust drifting through the ever expanding ocean that is the Universe? There is no point to our short consciousness but to enjoy what the universe provides, for it alone has a point for existing. We float aimlessly in the vastness of creation. Our existence is transient. The Universe, however, holds a profound purpose. Trapped within the cosmic bubble, we are fated to participate in its never-ending cycle.

I remember playing ninja gaiden on original NES. If you died on the last boss you had to start the whole game over. I'm pretty sure I had a moment of transcendance when I finally beat that game. No cheats, no strategy guides, just pure determination and mental fortitude.

Back in the origional NES days the best times were when my brother or I would have a friend for a sleep over and my mom would get a bunch of snacks and we were allowed to stay up all night and play Zelda or Contra or whatever the friend brought over.  Back when nights lasted a long time.  And if we were really lucky we might check HBO and get a glimpse at a boob.  Those were the days..

Odd World was a pretty trippy game. As well as the PS1 game called LSD.

I hit the 1 up glitch in super Mario on nes, jumping on the turtle on the stairs, my brother and cousins had been trying for hours and gave up, in which I got a shot at the controller. Can't remember how old I was. Was crazy, started getting into letters as lives.

Nothing else odd comes to mind.
