Are you sure you calibrated your hygrometer correctly? To ensure it's working properly you'll want to place it behind your tire and drive over it a few times.

I never did successfully train my GF to take care of my mushroom cultures while I was away, and I spent several years trying. I'd just give up on her now.

HELP!! MYCELIUM TOO WET FROM MISTING, PICS

So just today, I worked a shift and had to get a babysitter for the time being, long story short she misted twice in two hours directly down and hit the mycelium directly on and it turned grayish from the water and moisture. She feels terrible, and so do I. Please break the news to me. Are they done for? Also I have immediately stopped misting (so far it has been 4 hours since the last misting almost 5)

You should take some better pictures if you can, it looks like its just a little bruising but i don't think anyone can tell you for sure without a better look.

Uh, just what the hell is going on in there? It looks like you've got a bunch of substrates stacked on top of each other inside a SGFC filled with bulk substrate? Water isn't going to kill your mushrooms dude we bottom water and dunk our substrates all the time. If anything they needed it, they look dry.

I have perlite mixed with coir, my humidity stays up at 90%-99% so it seems to be working. Check the pics, trust me there are no contams if it seems as if. Let me know if you have any info.

Yeah, you should defiantly set yourself a proper sgfc man. You can get some perlite at a hardware or gardening store for like 5 bucks and normally its a monster size bag. A worthy investment trust me.

Can we take it easy on the Crummy? It's still very easy to read old information and take it as true and current.
A little over misting isn't a big deal and it will be fine, if it was over misted for a longer duration that can cause serious problems.

Thanks man, I appreciate you helping out. I spent a lot of time after my few fails learning patience. I've worked hard on these and did not want to lose them, especially from someone else's mistakes. But in all fairness, I didn't dmeonstrate to her how to proerly do it (like Willy Myco demonstrates)

Yeah in the future just use straight perlite. You'll want something like a wire shelf to keep your trays elevated off of the perlite as well. Air needs to be able to come up through the perlite not only for humidity but for fresh air exchange. You'll also want about a foot of clearance on all sides of your chamber to help this fresh air exchange happen.
Also something to keep in mind for the future, hold off on misting unless your substrate looks dry. A substrate prior to the first flush should maintain beads of moisture on the surface on its own if it's properly hydrated. If it's looking dry after this heavy misting evaporates I'd keep misting it directly (without forming pools of water of course).
A few other nit picky things: Did you measure your holes? They look a little free handed. If it's close to a 2" by 2" grid on all 6 sides you should be fine. And what's your lighting set up like? How did you create your spawn?
Sorry if I came off negatively. It was just a little light-hearted ribbing. I'm guilty of just about all the old cultivation tropes on my first grow.
