Adding gypsum to BRF after colonizing
    #23943654 - 12/20/16 02:27 PM (7 years, 1 month ago)

Hey guys,

Is there an effective way to add gypsum to a BRF, PF grow AFTER colonizing? Assuming it'll be fruiting from cakes.

Seems like a dumb question, I can't really imagine any stage where it could be possible except adding gypsum to the (cake)"roll" stage by rolling in a mixture of gypsum and verm. Anyone do this before? or anyone have another technique?

Edit: Would there be a noticeable difference from gypsum added cakes vs. non-gypsum added cakes?

Or you could leave them in the jar and add gypsum to a casing material

Rolling the cakes in verm is the casing phase right? Have you tried it before?- Rolling in a mix of verm and gypsum.

Nah soak them overnight, rinse them gently and pop them back in the jar and case then fruit.

So; dunk -> rinse -> back in the jar -> and case with verm+gyps?

How long should they stay in the jar for before casing?

I like a 50/50 verm peat lime casing, and casings should not be colonised, therefor you would place into fruiting after casing it.

I dont use gypsum anymore.
