How does this sound? Will it need to be processed further as casing?

Unlike conventional manure, this product has been composted for at least 16 weeks at a temperature that kills all seeds, pathogens and fly larvae. You can also fork it into the soil for an added boost; it will retain moisture, control weeds, whilst adding essential nutrients to your soil

you don't want composted manure.
you want field aged manure
you want manure for mushrooms not manure for plants
if you're buying stuff from a bag use coir. if you cant find manure free from a farm don't bother with it

Yeah? Cheers for that coir is never a problem would you say it's a far cry from manure in terms of yield or?

as a casing?? you do not want a casing layer to be nutritious.

if you are talking about a bulk substrate just use coco coir
it yields the same as hpoo. your genetics are more of a factor
in yield size then the substrate choice.

yield has very little to do with substrate
way more to do with the volume of spawn you use, moisture control, and genetics

some people think everything but their own skill is to blame for shit yields so try different grains and substrates until they strike lucky
