Yellow metabolites? outward growth on cakes?

I've got a big batch of cakes going right now and have noticed that some of them are growing mycelium outward from the cake and w/out any pin action yet, despite being put in the sgfc two weeks ago. I've had issues w/ very slow pinning before and attributed it to the cold conditions, so honestly I'm not too worried about it. They smell fine, (you know, that earthy mushroomy smell w/ no traces of stank), and seem to have the right amount of 'squish' to them.
Still, a few are starting to show a yellowing color on some parts. I've read in the past that these could be metabolites, but because some people like to delete their posts/photos after they get an answer it's making it difficult to get a diagnosis based on older posts.. Anyway, here's an example of what I've got.
Thanks for the advice. I'm hoping to get a mono tub going eventually, (I've got the supplies and some nice agar plates all set, but this darn cold has got me paranoid and my cakes growing at a glacial pace, and so I wanna wait until Spring).

You're probably fine. They might be getting too much moisture. Only spray them when they are dry. I see you're in a SGFC, so airflow should be good if it's built to spec. Are there holes on all 6 sides? Is it raised up off of the surface below it so air can flow through the bottom holes? What sort of room is it in - small closet?

Oh yeah, this is yr typical SGFC w/ all the specs pretty much down pat. It's in an open room, though due to the space one side is only a few inches from a wall. To make sure cakes on that side of the chamber get their airflow I rotate the whole thing 180° every 36-ish hrs. It's gotta be the moisture like you mentioned. Being as cold as it it I think it's taking much much longer for them to dry out. I might just have to only give em a couple squirts every 48hrs or so. I see you're also in the pnw, freespeech. These freezing temps over the last couple weeks have been killin me...
EDIT: I don't use any special lights, just whatever comes in from the window. This time of year we only get ~8.5 hrs of grey sunlight ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
