I remember logging in here the day after the Cubs won the World Series. There was a thread in here about their victory, and fans of the Cubs were applauding their team. There was no thread made just to call Indians fans retards. Similar situation with the Broncos; some people were happy about their win, but none of them made a thread to call Panthers fans crybabies.
Logging in the day after the 2016 presidential election, Trump supporters weren't just thrilled that he had won, they were elated to have something to cram down liberal throats. The tone of that kind of thing goes beyond celebratory, to the border of sadism. I remember on November 9th that many of the half that didn't vote for Trump were worried, fearful, chagrined. When compassion could've driven Trump supporters to reach out to these Americans and say "hey, it's cool, we're still in this together", many decided instead to gleefully mock and deride their fellow citizens.
You can big up your team without tearing down the other guy. But that takes compassion and tact, things that have been in short supply both here and elsewhere.

I dont like either trump or hillary really. Dont trust Hillary at all but trump I trust him more cause he says whatever the fuck he wants which is mostly crazy babble in my opinion. I feel trump could make some enemies with the wrong leaders in these next few years with how he goes about spamming all his thoughts online and shit. It sure will be interesting to see how this term will play out.

Your comparison is flawed. Cubs fans werent being called racist, sexist, stupid, uninformed, xenophobic, a white supremacist or any of the other plethora of insults that were hurled at Trump supporters full force for a year and a half.
Sorry that it hurts your feelings, but after being harassed about my beliefs for over a year, now that Trump has won, I definitely feel justified in cramming it down at least some people's throats.

do you know what you sound like?
If you really think my point is solely about celebrating the victory of your party that's upsetting, I think it's you who doesnt realize what they sound like. I realize you're the type to comment on everything and try to have the last word and always be right but you're really reaching here. Celebrating and berating arent the same thing.
Burke summed it up perfectly.
Trump won, his victory will affect all of us because were all in this together yet half the country is pitted against one another and feels the other side is the enemy and both sides feel every need to attack each other at every turn, that does make me sad and I dont care what that makes me sound like. If you think something that will affects all of us and something we're all in together yet 50% of people are divided and turned almost to enemies is the same thing as celebrating a sporting event where the outcome is basically irrelevant to our everyday lives then If Hillary won and her supporters did the same thing (which probably would of happened) I'd of said the same thing. This is a time we should be united as people even if you didnt agree with the choice, yet the complete opposite is true.
I know you'll come back with something but I dont care to argue it any further, I explained my view and if you considers it stupid then so be it.

I didnt make any of those threads
did you make those threads?
BTW, Indian's fans are retards, maybe they should have rioted, beaten innocent people in the streets based on their color and the assumption they were broncos fans or cubs fans and then threatened all the officials
there was a reason those hillary supporters were called retards and other names
maybe you didnt notice that though

Idk man i just look at it as a Job and an opportunity to get my schooling payed for. i don't really care for the underlying politics. I like Trump because he's fucking hilarious, beyond that i really couldn't give a dam.

it's one thing to "not care about the politics", but it's another thing to be willing to die for american imperial expansion (capitalism/"democracy"), corporate bottom dollar, and to allow assholes to remain in power who aren't going to give you the mental/physical health you need after they've sucked you dry and kicked you to the curb
seriously, think long and hard about what you're doing

Hillary, without her cabinet picks, would be infinitely worse than Trump alone. However, Trump's cabinet picks are shaping up to a 'fuck-all' outcome. i'm actually somewhat weary about the choices he's made and the choices they will make.

I'll definitely think long and hard about such a decision.
I love this country though and i don't think there has ever been a nation or civilization that didn't have some blood on their hands. It's just part of life. The "assholes" in power have created a free and relatively safe society and i'm grateful for that.

loving one's country and being willing to serve/die for IT is one thing; dying for coporate interests OF it is another
if our country was attacked, home-soil, i'd be willing to consider defending. however, no military actions in 70+ years have been based on American, 50-state soil

There is a group of people who have declared war on the West and Western Values.
We do get attacked, quite regularly now, by people who have been indoctrinated by the enemies propaganda.

Interesting, so I assume you don't consider terrorism an actual attack, what do you consider it and what would be your solution to it?
