Dunking in H2O2 solution viable?
    #23940127 - 12/19/16 11:27 AM (7 years, 1 month ago)

Hi I just had a quick question, was hoping someone would have some insight
I have some PF jars with mild bacteria infection, some premature pinning etc.
I posted over in the contam section, and was given the advice to dunk and roll them now
I had this idea of dunking the cakes in a mix of hydrogen peroxide and water before I decided to roll them
I have never heard of this being done, and I'm also very new to cultivation, I would appreciate anyone else's insight on this, good idea, bad idea? Pointless?

I wouldn't do it, the bacteria will be kept at bay by the fresh air in fruiting.
It's a very friendly environment for them in the jar, and no so friendly outside the jar.
And even if you did dunk them in h202 it would likely just temporarily slow down the bacteria, it's deep in the cake not just on the surface.
Got a photo of the bacteria?

Thank you for your advice, would the fruits be okay to eat still?
And here are a few pictures of the bacteria
There's a thread in the contam section as well

Yeah the fruits will be fine, if the fruits themselves are infected it will be quite clear, they will become black, develop brown spots, become squishy, smell bad, etc.
If your fruits have those signs(after fruiting) I wouldn't eat them.
