Yes, but that might undercut the integrity of my "black and white gestural field paintings." I do paint in color, you know. It's just not what this work is about. I actually have plans to start painting some color field abstractions again, and then maybe some figurative abstractions in color. I'm still getting up to speed after an 8+ year absence from making art, so all things in good time. I have been really happy with the way this series has been going. It's basically an extension of a series I was doing in the early nineties before I stopped painting. All of the work I have been doing these past few months is small in scale, but I'm going to keep it that way, until I have some more galleries lined up, and get settled in a permanent studio situation. PS: When I start doing color work again, I'll post some here, so y'all will be the first to know! Here's another one...
Alograft LXXI : Keeping Up With the Cleopatra Jones', 9"x12", Acrylic on Cotton Rag Paper

Those are cool. They seem like parts of a larger 'picture'. Like clips of a film with sound. It transcends the differential of aural/visual and resonates in both dimensions. Very interesting. I guess it's a form of action painting you are doing.

after taking the time to apreciate your online gallery objectively and criticaly with my girlfriend, i've noticed that the qualty of your work is much better than i had thought before [and i wasn't unimpressed to begin with]. there are actualy a few peices i would love to buy if i could-one in particular which i plan to if it is still available once i can shell out $180 for a painting.
