If the cakes are dry they need water. Sit them in a saucer of water and they will absorb it. Normally I don't recommend doing that until pins are in but those look dry. It either that or dunk em again.

Check the bottom watering link in my signature Don't know if anyone addressed this yet but you should be misting your cakes directly

I will definitely introduce bottom watering as soon as i see pins or should i do this now? I have just put the cakes back in the water to dunk for 24 hours. Is this too long and will they be ok for 24 hours after being dunked nd rolled 7 days ago for the first time? Aw yea i read direct misting was ok to do, but my verm always shot off when misting directly so i kinda stayed back with it

Another question is after the dunk and roll this time, how long should i wait to start misting the cakes, should i do it as soon as they go back in the chamber or wait a hour or so. I plan on rehydrating my perlite as well since theyre out right now. And fuck yea as soon as i notice pins ill start bottom watering, btw do you still mist when bottom watering cant remember if it said to or not ill read it a few time but great advice man your helping me not lose a month worth of time and patience lol

Didn't notice this Yeah just mist like usual man
Probably too late but I usually wait overnight to mist after a roll ~ 8-24 hours will do you good
