So first it might just be the cold weather talking but... I "think" I'm done growing My mycelium is tapped out and I am no longer interested in experimenting but I don't know what to do with my cakes, I thought about extraction but... that's like killing a child... and it's to cold to start them out doors so it may seem ... and they are living beings so there not garbage... any advice on what to do with these beautiful creations I'm all ears on opinions!

People get too attached after youve done this a few fucking hundred times you wont give a fuck. Throw them away try again. I just touch a triched out cake outside and fucking twated it against a wall because it most likely fucked the rest of the cakes in my FC. Im glad this is the last batch of cakes ill ever make. GRAINS FOREVER FTW

Lmao thanks for being so blunt I suppose I could move to other things although I am still curious of the alkaloid percentage mayhaps I could dry them and make an attempt, does anyone know a good page for such a thing?

All my spent/contaminated materials go straight into the garden. Wildlife and or plants eat it all.
One time last spring I had a tiny little fruit grow from spent cakes and some slugs ate it

Awe what about indoor mush garden with worm compost and hay in isolated glove box? Or is that even logically reasonable... I'll admit when I took spore prints I left them exposed I fear for contam and that's what I'm trying to wrap my head around I was told agar but honestly I'm highly disappointed in the strength of collected fruit aswell the flushes seemed short if you must know ! P.cubenses f+ is what I grew!

The beauty is a print will have tons of genetics and agar is great for iffy prints.

Damn slugs, as soon as I put something kind of wet in my garden, they're all over it.

Don't waste time and effort on anything else and start doing agar .) It'll be worth it. You can start a culture from spore print and clean it by transferring it to new plates.
You can start by reading from the links in my signature. Good luck
