Use of cannabis for spiritual growth?

Hello everyone,
Like many people I found myself abusing cannabis and smoking it everyday most weeks to simply get High, I even for the most part didn't even really want to or know why I was smoking, it just became the everyday norm. Lately I have been smoking only on occasion and from this I have began to appreciate marijuana so much more! Now, smoking has become a thing I get quite excited about, I don't take for granted the practice of smoking and it has not only opened my heart to nature and the true beauty of the natural world! I wouldn't say it is sacramental for me but now I usually treat it (not at the same extent) as a sort of paychedelic in the sense that it alters my consciousness in such a beutidul way that it has become a great tool for me! It lets me think from a very positive and loving perspective on issues in my life and ever since using it like this, my life has been much more positive and happy!
If this sounds appealing to you, open your heart and mind to the perspective of using marijuana as a tool like this and I promise you it will be beautiful!
Has anyone else found this and/or has a similar practice with the use of marijuana? If so what are some things you love doing/ contemplating etc. with cannabis?
Just for the record I am a user of entheogens and treat them with great respect also, using them non recreationally, only to improve myself and gain insight!
Thank you for reading, Much love!

I absolutely agree with your view. Around a year ago a girl I shared a ride with had a similar experience with abuse and then eventually came back around to maryj. She described it as her previously just fucking Mary, and after she matured more it was more like "making love" to her.
I liked the way she phrased it, I still abused cannabis for a long time after that moment tho lol. But I totally agree with the sentiment, hence why I am on a highatus at the moment. I hope to eventually be able to smoke occasionally and treat it like the psychedelic experience it really is.
I think cannabis is a good middle of the road psychedelic, short duration (depending on ingestion method), relatively easy to regulate dose, and a fairly good attitude towards it in the states. Not to mention it's numerous medicinal applications, despite what the DEA may suggest.
Unfortunately I think it is also fairly addictive, as well as prone to making the user "turn off" or exist in a state of waking sleep. Though I will say with absolute certainty that those effects are largely dependent on the user. Those were my experiences when heavily abusing cannabis, YMMV. Those negatives far outweigh the negatives of alcohol though, and that is still heavily abused by the population/ glamourized in the media, along with tobacco.
But yes a little bit of marijuana can be a really great thing. I don't think I am at the point to indulge quite yet though, it has only been a few days since last toke, and I told myself I'd go a week. I would like to create more of a structure for myself to be on the track to pursue the things I want, before toking again. Habits take time to break and recreate.
How do you treat your consumption? Do you have a stash of your own and just partoke occasionally? Or will you just hit it if it comes around a circle? I am curious about other peoples approaches to occasionally smokint, it seems like the vast consensus is that after abuse outright quitting is the only option. At least that's the opinion on reddit.com/r/leaves, a support community for people wanting to quit, that actually does have some good insights.

Hey man thanks for taking an interest in what I had to say on that post about marijuana. Dude honestly if it's going around and the time is right I'll still smoke but where I used to smoke every day I only will smoke on weekends but am still reluctant to smoke if it's going around like I will only occasionally. Other then that I like to only smoke in nature man and either by myself or with close friends and use it to enjoy nature and the world around me! Try to not smoke for 2 weeks at least man so your tolerance resets completely, then go out into a really nice place that you love and smoke an entire fat joint to yourself and completely immerse yourself in nature, I like to listen to music with noise cancelling earphones in and just take in and immerse yourself in nature! It helps if no one is around man and honestly just act like yourself when you were a little kid man! That's the secret!!! Just touch everything and wonder just how hectic it is that plants even exist and question reality and explore your own consciousness!
If I had one tip to give you man it would be, (depending on how comfortable you are with doing this) find a place where there is no distractions, no people around to judge you and no problems and just go for it man run around if you want, laugh at nothing, touch everything and just do what comes and feels natural man, if you can do this even once man you'll be full of excitement and love and it is the most beutidul thing you can ever do! Just remeber to imbrace your inner most child and love and awe will follow I promise you!
