Hard to get great pictures, these are from a wild print. Anyone think these look like gym. Aeruginosus/Luteofolius mycelium? I looked at some pics on the search engine but I have a hard time distinguishing mycelial characteristics.

Awesome, I will be doing a lot of that this spring and summer, I'm going to try several novelty species just for cool photos.

Do these look clean? First time using wbs and first time with this species, looks as if it could possibly be fuzzy myc but also seems questionable. If this is just the myc this species has taken off on grain, it's been 6 days since agar to grain.

Note: "wet" spot on second jar is a piece of agar.

The grains that are in contact with the agar wedge tend to suck in some moisture of the wedge. Those spots look bacterial but usually get colonized fine after some time.
I am not sure about your jar. The picture quality is not the best. How old are those jars?

6 days since inoculation. The jars were prepared a few weeks ago. I tried taking the best photo I could, but between my phone camera and the lighting it's difficult

I don't like the grainy look of the mycelium in the first jar. Maybe it's just the picture.
It's better to use sterilized grain jars as soon as possible. Did you shake the jars after inoculation with agar?
//edit
I ask this because 6 days from inoculation to that much colonization is short. If you did not shake them after they colonized a bit to speed up colonization, I think there is growing something you don't want.

I understand that grain jars are meant to be used asap, I normally inoculate as soon as they are cool enough but I decided to test leaving jars around for a bit before inoculation since I didn't have cultures ready yet. The grains looked completely clean before they were inoculated and didn't even seem as if they'd noticeablely dried out.
I shook the jars extensively once the agar was added, but even then I am questioning, as you are, how spread the growth is and how quickly it has grown. But the growth does look mycelial to me, just questionable as this is a new species and the mycelium is noticeably different. I agree the grainy look is what has be concerned as well.

OK. Observe your jars and update this thread with fresh pics in two days. We/I will take another look.
