Can't get those fruit
    #23934720 - 12/17/16 07:50 AM (7 years, 1 month ago)

Hi guys,
Took two white oyster bags 4 days ago in my little greenhouse for fruiting but nothing is happening light is always on and my humidity is always on the 85-90%. Temp don't change much since it's in my basement and cold temp. not a problem in here. Yesterday it was -40c with the wind! :eskimokiss:

Don't know what I'm doing wrong.

I can see the tops are tied off, and as anthiawe said I can't see any holes for fruits to come out from.

yes I've made 4 holes for each bag. It's not like holes, I just cut the plastic.

put a few more holes in there - X shaped holes, an inch or two wide. What temp is your basement at?

I would squeeze the air out to get rid of air space on top of bag. Take it down to prevent pins inside bag.

Be patient,  they could take a 7-14 days to pin.

Just an update not a good one. Nothing changed.

2 pictures of my 2 bags.

I was thinking about something maybe I did wrong. I've a small wood shop and maybe used in a small proportion some exotic wood. Exotic wood have oil and they are really rot resistant.
And the second mistake I don't have any room with a temp. in the range of 10c. So I' ve place them in my fridge for 12hours and put them in bucket of cold water for 3 days.

I would still push the air out of the top of bags and tape them down tight. This will force pins at your holes.

I'd warm them up to 15-20 C. They will likely fruit.I don't like growing out clusters in the little holes personally... You could just put an elastic band around the plastic at the top of the block and peel down the plastic so it is over the block. That will give you air exchange and should produce pins at the opening. Even if you mixed the spawn in it will still fruit well at the top of the block. Also a fan will move around the CO2 around the block. This will help. You want 100% humidity to produce pins and then you can drop it to 90-95.

Since I have good answer from you guys I'll continue to give you update. They have pinned but boy I have long stem from 1 bag and the other the pins are not growing very fast. light is 50-50 It's an compact fluo in the 6400K. the air is exchange 3-4 times a day and the humity always is on the 90-95%. I miss them twice a day. So what do you think my problem is? or are?

You need 3-5 air exchanges per hour . They are dying for fresh air.leave the door partially open if nothing else.
