Anyone here have a grill? (Dental Jewelery)
    #23934071 - 12/17/16 12:08 AM (7 years, 2 months ago)

So I doubt it, but am interested.

Does anyone here have a grill?

There are many different styles, I have a couple homies who have them and some of them are interesting.  You can get gems, stones, diamonds, probably even certain crystals set in place, they aren't just straight gold/silver/platinum anymore, so they can be more stylish in a sense.

Just figured i'd see if any members have them, and how they feel wearing them long term, any dental issues due to them, how they feel about them etc.

and if so, post a pic!

I kinda like the bottom grill, cool, but a little more low key.

Does my tinfoil grill count?

Lol, j/k.

Grills are pretty sick, but they only look good on black people. Us whities simply shouldn't wear them.

I'm so confused about how those work.

Are they put in when you lose your teeth as replacements?

Are they screwed onto your teeth?

Or do they slip on the teeth, and you're able to take them off?

Yeah, some stupid rich white kid I know who thinks he's ghetto has one. Everyone who isn't a wanna-be thug laughs about it behind his back. He also thinks he's a rapper even though he fucking sucks and his whole entire life is all an elaborate conspiracy to try and obtain social status to make up for the deeply-rooted lack of love and acceptance he feels or something like that.

I'm not trying to insult you or anything here, but it doesn't suprise me that you want one too.

You get a mold to your teeth and then the company will form the mold with whatever material, gold, silver etc.  Place stones in if you wish and then after it's finished, they are ready to wear.,

But they fit in like a cap.  You can take them out and pop them back in because they are already molded to your teeth.

same old, same old.

edit: it's interesting how judgemental you are of other people, without just allowing yourself to let people be who they want to be. It seems to bother you so much. Instead of realizing that you're really the clown, always.

and I never said I sold lean lol, I grabbed one bottle of it and you've been dragging that one out for a while lol.

Move on bruh.

Grills seem uncomfortable as fuck IDK why anyone would ever want them. Seems like a great way to chip multiple teeth.

Why don't these hoodlums just invest in something cool with the amount of money they would shell out to buy some stupid grills, like one of those talking parrots? I think it would be a lot more hood to go strolling around the block with some D boys who have parrots on their shoulders who are trained to shout out drug prices to reel in custies.

The parrot would do all the sales work and the D boys can just sit back and rake in the cash.

Their could be "parrot fights" between opposing gangs too.

That's why I made the thread, I was interested in what other people thought about them.

Like I said, A few of my friends have them and wanted to see if anyone on here did.

edit: and you can get a basic cap for $300.  They really aren't that expensive unless you get into the more stylish ones, engravings, jewelery etc.

If your friends are white, tell them Sheekle from the internet says they're "The W word."

If your friends are black, tell them Sheekle from the internet just says "black lives matter."

I never got into grills, I always thought they looked dumb. :2cents:

--------------------
How to get started in bulk:
Presto 23-Quart Pressure Cooker
BOD's Simple as FUCK Still Air Box
PastyWhyte's Easy Agar Tek
Munchauzen's Cultivation Video Series
How EvilMushroom666 Prepares His Grains (I use jars with Synthetic Filter Discs)
What is G2G? (Grain-to-Grain)
Damion5050's Coir Tek (I use 5.5 - 6 quarts of water instead of 4. Also ignore step 13 and ignore the monotub completely. The only purpose of this tek is to show you how to make a simple substrate. I also add gypsum to it but not necessary)
Spitball's Monotub Tek (A liner isn't necessary but is useful)
Use 6500k lights throughout the whole process. When you wake up, turn the light on. When you go to sleep turn the light off. It's as simple as that.

I think you have to consider the context in which grills are usually worn, which is mainly in black culture. What would it mean to a black person who grew up in a rough neighborhood, having nothing offered to them from a racist society, to earn enough income to afford grills? It's a sign of having 'made it', of overcoming the difficulties life threw at you. If you can relate to that feeling, then go ahead, but there's a definite significance to them.

I dont have a grill but i used to make grills(well not "grill" grills like in the op). I was a dental tech that made dentures partials and mouthgaurds.

Ive made/repaired quite a few partials and dentures with gold teeth. Seen some with several 18k teeth that just in scrap value alone were like $60 a tooth.

Personally i find it tacky and dumb

What about my friends or anyone else who doesn't sell crack, that doesn't live in the ghetto and doesn't waste all their money on really expensive cars, that have grills?

Interesting point.

edit: One of my friends who has them fits that description, grew up dirt poor, couldn't even afford new clothes, lived in a bad neighborhood and got involved in a gang etc, and now in his mid 20's, owns his own home and makes more money than most people's parents do.    He decided to get a grill molded.  He doesn't wear it all the time. Only on occasions.

Those friends don't have it made. You need to live in the ghetto and brag about your Cadillac to have it made.
