Drying crops from contaminated subs.

A lot of members on here seem to pick there crops; or encourage picking your crops, if you get hit with contaminants in the later stages of fruiting. Once your crops are taken from a contaminated tub, it eventually should be dried out first, either by fan or dehydrator, etc..
(Now, am assuming that most of us grow indoors)
If your placing a crop by a fan, which came from a contaminated substrate, wouldnt we be blowing bad spores all over the place/ indoors?
Personally, all my sterile work is done indoors, but I always put my fan/ dehydrator outdoors to dry any of my crops.

by turning on the fan/dehydrator you are blowing spores everywhere. regardless of whats on it.
some people still grow when sub is contam but i toss that shit asap.
why would you use a dehydrator outside?

An interesting question. My guess is that most growers don't hang on to crops contaminated by mold, which is the biggest cause for concern in this scenario. Bacteria meanwhile will have a difficult time proliferating without a moist environment.
If any competitor spores are blown around, in theory your sterile technique should be up to snuff to the point where it won't matter.
EDIT: Corrected a colloquialism.

I dry in my fruiting room...
If a tub tams out I toss it asap. Not like you're going to get any significant weight from it anyways...plus who wants to get some one sick?
