Actually it's just a lamp but I wanted to sound artsy.
Ever wanted to crawl inside some gills and see the light shining through the underside of the cap? Well here ya go
And this is just about as close as I can get, I put 'em on the glass

but man this shit is endlessly fascinating
[edit] oh and i have a recording of "the one that didn't pop" going, should be ready latenite sometime
Amazing. Such beauty in these gill shots. More time lapses of your grows would also be sick! A mono start to finish would be a masterpiece.

that may be the case but they are still very mutated. this tub is like 2 days ahead of all the others, only reason i didnt get to it in time. it snuck up on me. but ya like every single fruit is mutated. tons of stems growing out of caps. lots of fused fruits. tons of just straight up ugly buggers.

I know, noobs like me shouldn't start experimenting that early on, but i did a thing:
Had some leftover pasteurized straw from preparing oyster bags and some cube spawn. Mixed them up and stuffed it in a 10 liter bucket. For FAE there are two ~2 cm holes at the straw-level and two at the top just like a monotub but this time covered with gauze from a first aid kit instead of polyfill.
Didn't do a single thing to it after preparing it. Luckily results came in today:

156g wet. My culture doesn't yield all that much even with proper teks so I'm happy with the result. Especially so since I basically put in zero work or money
Edit: Did two buckets. But i fucked that one in the picture up a bit. The second one just stated pining with at lot more pins. Hope that one will be even better than the fist

2:44pm Dec 15 - 8:54am Dec 16, 10 minute intervals, 110 frames
here's something this photography has taught this noob about mushrooms - the shroom in the foreground and the one just behind it in the bottom center right are clearly waterlogged and much more moist than the ones on the left
