An Innocent Man Might Die Because Of The Supreme Court

The Supreme Court on Monday declined to hear the appeals of two inmates, one from Florida and one from Ohio, who questioned whether their death sentences were constitutional, and have new DNA evidence that may exonerate him.

If the Supreme Court heard every death penalty case, that's all they would have time for

yeah, you're missing the point. this guy is innocent. not a guy who has committed very bad crimes. because you nor the justice system doesn't care that you're murdering him...well, that means you're hypocrites. those overseeing the courts are also committing very bad crimes by murdering this guy. and you accept it, making you also a hypocrite.

I'm pretty sure America's in a position with all the conflict they're in that because their hands are already so bloody (7 wars/Trump/Neocon/Warhawk/Neo-Nazi etc) then don't really care as much about making a mess.

No one is for executing innocent people
This guy has been appealing his sentence for 40 years, plenty of courts have heard it
No justice is being denied, he only managed to waste millions of public dollars by not accepting consequences for his crimes

Innocent people die every day all around the world from lots of things. Who cares? What do you want to do, abolish the supreme court and eliminate a third of the balance of powers?

wrong. blatantly ignore facts. it's fun to say "wrong".

nah, if he can proof his innocence, then he's innocence, cause in the court of law, you're innocent until proven guilty. mistakes are made all the time. you're excusing those mistakes as being forgivable.

I'd be fine with getting rid of capital punishment personally, but no one would ever vote for it. California just voted to make it faster instead of getting rid of it. And that's California. I sincerely doubt that anyone in the rest of the nation has any desire to get rid of it either.

People get found innocent after very very long stretches in prison. Chances are people have been and will continue to be wrongly executed. It's an odds game after all. No system is going to be perfect and 100% correct all the time.

That is why capital punishment should only be considered when absolute certainty of guilt is proven.

I don't really recall any personal beliefs in the justice system. I have almost zero faith in it. The only faith I have in the system is that reality gives breaks.

That's the way it supposedly is.
