I think your cakes might be waterlogged, you should mist less

I can see it in the shininess and color of the caps, and the color of the verm. Mist less, fan more for a day or two. The caps should be slightly dry, but still very supple, similar to the skin of the back of your hand.

That doesn't make any sense. If anything I can see it a little bit in the waviness of the caps, but that's it.

But the caps aren't too wet and the color doesn't indicate anything about water-logged cakes.

I disagree. An over-wet mushroom, to my eye, usually has a darker, slimier, more translucent, wavy (as you noted) cap than one that is correctly moist. Vermiculite looks darker, less reflective, and heavier when it is saturated.

It's also possible that you think these caps aren't too wet because they are more like yours than they are like mine. That is to say that our methods and observed-correct water levels might be different, without either of them being wrong.

Looks good OP keep doin' what you're doin'. Mist a bit less if you want, it really doesn't matter, those will be mature in a day or 2 anyways.

I agree that water logged mushrooms look translucent and you can see the stripes going up the stems. I don't know about judging weight by a picture though.

I agree they're waterlogged looking. But is it because of misting, or just excessive humidity? I'd love to see pics of the chamber..

that mutant is nice :p

i think the chambers RH is too high. if it was from over misting the
tin foil would be wet.

looks like it was wet at some time, should be fine but i think bacteria blotch has spotting on it and looks really weird this article can help you spot possible contams and what causes them

It looks like it's right up against a wall. Definitely not good. Want it in the middle of the room, raised off the ground so the holes underneath get air flowing
