Is giving shrooms to people you don't know wrong?

Depends how educated and informed they are on the substances they're wishing to take.
If someone knows that what they're taking won't be toxic or physically harm them they're far more likely to have a good trip than if they were to not know what they were taking.
If you don't inform them then I guess that's wrong but people spend time with random people all the time, you could ask the same thing about one night stands with randoms.
It may seem wrong to some but for others it's not a problem.
Either way.

It is irresponsible. You dont know the person and theyr past, nor the medical condition, or their current life situation. As giddy as turning on with shrooms may make you want to believe that just any one should have them if given - that is not the truth. Thats just passion getting the best of you, or believing something as delusional as if they whole world will just turn on to drugs everything will be fine.

If they want them, they want them. You certainly have the power to say no I'm not going to give them to you. However, they're not children and you're not their parent. From a "drug dealer" perspective you really shouldn't care.
From an ethical perspective, it can be irresponsible as Mr. Ass just pointed out. You don't know how they'll handle themselves nor do you know what else they might take with them. No control over the situation puts you in a bind.
On the other side. Sometimes you just gotta have faith man. Trust that your own experience has shown you even in the bad times there are always people there for you or memories you can rely on.
Losing a grip on reality? We've all been there dude. Now we are here wondering WTF reality is. Everyone does that with or without ever having taken shrooms.
I personally would. Simply because if they want to experience something I'm not going to deprive them of that, good or bad.

I knew some people who called an ambulance after 2 hours on shrooms because they thought they were going to die. Unsurprisingly they also got raided some time afterwards for selling dope to an underage kid at a skate park who got caught right after.

I remember dead tour 2004 I dosed a bunch of people with mushrooms I picked that morning, it was awesome, but looking back on it now might have not be the wisest move, had a couple of people I dosed who were close to where I parked come up to me after the show and thank me for helping them have a real swell time.
I didn't give them a ton, just one or two large mushrooms each, so not enough to knock them on their ass, but enough to help them enjoy the music a bit more.

irresponsible if you give it to them unknowingly but if you offer it to their choice with proper education then there is no foul on your end

Years back I used to go to parties and take a 100 hits of acid. I gave it out to whoever was willing to eat it. I never felt it was my right to with hold it from anyone if I had it to give.

Back before the days where people had the internet in their pocket, when sharing drugs with people who have never taken them, I had print outs from the erowid so they could read at least some less biased information for themselves and make a more informed decision...... There's positives, neutrals, and negatives listed for many substances.

If we could look into each others hearts, and understand the unique challenges each of us faces, I think we would treat each other much more gently, with more love, patience, tolerance, and care. It takes a lot of courage to go out there and radiate your essence. I know you scared, you should ask us if we scared too. If you was there, and we just knew you cared too.
