Power Usage for grows

So I was just away for 2 weeks. I shut down my house, turned the heat down and checked the meter. My grow over 2 weeks took 538 kw/hr. That's with running the 2kw sterilizer 2 times, leaving flow hoods on for days in row and the grow itself. Other draws are 2 chest freezers converted to fridges and my normal kitchen refrigerator which was never opened and my computer/router and 30w of security lights out front. At $0.10 a kw/hr that's $54 or about $108 a month.
Feel free to add what your cost is for your grow.

One month running a 20 foot container growing space, and seperate substrate storage, inoculation space, incubation room and 2 fridges was 557 KWH last cycle. I pasteurize with propane so there's that cost too. $40 per cycle for propane. That's Oysters. Shiitake might be a bit more due to increased heating needs.

Forgot to add: .09 cents per Kwh...About $50 per month. That's fall. Not much heating.

DEC 05 was the last grow room cooling day.
July was $1500 November was $800 3300sq ft of cooling, constant air changes in the grow room without HRV. HRV should drop the power bill significantly if I ever get around to it.

you should really consider going to electric to heat that water. Its super cheap and easy to add an electric heating element to most vessels, only a few bucks more to set it up with a temp controller. PM me if you need any pointers.

Thanks Grower. I have been pondering this very thing... Propane is off the hook and who wants to support that mess anyway...I' will PM you for sure. Seems way easier.
