Have a Presure Cooker Question

I have a couple of 16 quart presto's. This one: https://www.amazon.com/Presto-01745-16-Quart-pressure-Canner/dp/B00A9S1MIM/ref=sr_1_6?ie=UTF8&qid=1481766416&sr=8-6&keywords=presto+pressure+canner
Does any one use 1/2 gallons glass jars in these?
Would they even fit?
If so, how many ... 4 ?
I just want to make sure before I go buy a ton of them.

That's funny, I run two at the same time too! Save so much time doing it like that!
I was thinking about getting those little electric burners for another one, but god i hate the sound of a pressure cooker doing its thing!

I've thought about those burners too. I really want an AA x75 but the shipping to Canada is $437. That brings the total to over $1200. For that price I could get 6 prestos and enough burners to run them all.
I don't really use the 9qts anymore. Once in a while I use them for syringes, blender jars or LCs but not very often.

pull it off and check it, make sure it isn't cracked or rotted. Make sure it hasn't shrunk too. I believe new ones are pretty cheap anyways.
Been running one of my PC's for two years with out a issue.

My gaskets shrank to the point of leaking after about 18 months to 2 years. I just stretched them out a bit before each use. It worked for about 6 months befor 1 of them snapped in half. I ordered 4 spares from amazon for just over $100 including shipping. You can probably get them for less than half that price in the US.

The gaskets were $8 on amazon. Shipping them to Canada bumped that up to $26.

That makes for some efficient sterilisation!
I have a 6L presto, a 7L lagostina, and I'm getting a 23qt presto in the mail this week! I'm excited. Tired of fucking around with my tiny PCs.
Oh about gaskets, the gasket on my presto started leaking really bad while reaching 15psi (no leak once there's enough pressure) after about a year. I heard rubbing a bit of oil or vaseline on it can help preserve it. I do it

Half-gallons will lay down sideways in my 16qt presto, but the only thing that's good for is syringes.
My gasket started leaking a couple weeks ago and the gasket and over-pressure plug kit is $9 straight from presto here in the U.S.
