I haven't been around Philly enough to form a solid opinion on it but I think I hate Philly too.
I've only been to the really nice parts of Chicago and LA, so I have semi-decent memories of those places, but would probably hate them too.
Basically, if there's steam coming up from the sewers and homeless people everywhere, I hate it.
Does New Orleans suck or is it cool?
If you hate NYC, you'll probably hate Philly. It's basically like a miniature NYC.
I hate LA myself personally, I prefer San Diego or San Francisco a lot more over LA.
I heard NOLA sucks, there's only one street that has any nightlife or activities and that's one little strip on Bourbon Street and that's it. The only time it's cool is during spring break or Mardi Gras when there's a huge crowd.

Living in Denver is pretty awesome, I never thought I'd enjoy living in a big city but it's actually really nice here
Still gotta visit Seattle, San Fran, Vancouver and all them other hip West Coast cities tho, then I'll probably be tired of cities in general and will be content to live way out in the middle of the boonies

I'm super happy I went when there were no crowds in nola. No ridiculous lines to get into places. I could just chill and enjoy the sights without my anxiety sky rocketing.

Sheekle said: Almost a year ago today I got a little lost in the subway tunnels when I was on acid after a Phish show. It was horrific, I was extremely intimidated by all of the thugs, drug-addicts, and crazy homeless that roam the subway stations at midnight and the general dirtyness of the place. The massive visible divide between the rich and the poor where every stop closer to Grand Central were filled with people more and more visibly well-kept was something that i'm not very used to experiencing.
Not to mention the people selling bootleg everything above ground and the shitty general attitudes that people in the city and surrounding areas seem to harbor and perpetuate. Fuck the Bronx, fuck Harlem, fuck Yonkers, fuck Long Island, fuck half of Brooklyn, fuck NYC.
Then there's the awful traffic I have to deal with every time I pass through NY to get to PA and the fact that NY drivers are assholes.
Did you think there were any big cities where you can get on the wrong train at night. And if you look like you're tripping do you think there is anybody else on the train who they would rather fuck with than anybody besides you.
I'm not talking about "Saturday in the Park" when maybe you can meet a girl. Being on the wrong train is the same except worse than avoiding panhandlers. You put on the 40 yard stare. You make eye contact with no one. If you're walking you never break stride, but sitting on a train is tougher. You have to make them think you are at least as crazy as they are, and they should pick somebody else.
