I'm getting decent at spotting mushrooms but am extremely paranoid about getting the wrong ones. These are P. allenii?
Habitat: SF Bay- wood chips (these came from 3 different spots that were all within a block or 2 from each other)
Gills: beige to brown.
Stem: neither fragile nor tough. white with tinges of tan. bruising of blackish blue.
Cap: range of .5 to 1.5 inches in diameter. bisque color all the way to orange brown.
Spore print color: not done.
Bruising: black blue on most of the stems, teal on caps on some.
Other information: smells like common white button mushrooms found at grocery stores.
Could someone check all of them, since they were not in the same patch? The super torn up one was a loner as well.
Also, what's up with this guy below? Can it be confirmed as allenii when certain features have been obliterated?
Should this be discarded since aspects of it were torn or eaten off by something? Strange eating behavior too. It's as if the gills were being scraped off. Perhaps, the bug or small creature finds the spores the tastiest?
As always, much appreciation!
