Need an insect identification

So I received a few plants from another collector and added them to my indoor garden after inspecting them for insects and seeing nothing. Well, a few months later I've noticed that the leaves of my plants have become spotty and looking poor in health.
Here a picture of one of my cherry tomato plants that seem to have it the worse.

Can someone help me identify these nasty things? My guess is spider mites. What is the best way to combat these bastards? They have been around since August I believe so I have quite a lot of work to do.

(Grain-to-Grain) Damion5050's Coir Tek (I use 5.5 - 6 quarts of water instead of 4. Also ignore step 13 and ignore the monotub completely. The only purpose of this tek is to show you how to make a simple substrate. I also add gypsum to it but not necessary) Spitball's Monotub Tek (A liner isn't necessary but is useful) Use 6500k lights throughout the whole process. When you wake up, turn the light on. When you go to sleep turn the light off. It's as simple as that.

That's not helpful...
This is kind of depressing because I've had these plants for so long and never had an insect problem before. I'm fairly certain they are spider mites though. So far I've trimmed all of my plants nearly bare. I've showered them with rock dust, then washed them down with water over the sink because all of them are in tiny pots. I've sprayed the underside of the leaves fairly thoroughly. Tomorrow I am going to buy some concentrated neem oil and give them a washing in that for a week or so. What kind of dish soap do people use for combating them? Will regular dawn dish soap work? What about rubbing alcohols?

A couple drops of dawn will work to break the surface tension of the water and will also help to get an even application. Pyrthrin spray applied every other day for week or so should do it, if its not a major infestation. If you have irreplaceable or valuable plants you might want to get some avid or forbid...
