ID confirmation request east bay

So the other day I found these.

I think it is Gymnopilus species, possibly junonius? I'm in the process of taking a print, but it looked to me as if orange spores already fell around the area and on the mushrooms themselves. I threw a piece in a hot pan and it smelled pretty good, like thai food or something. I haven't tasted it yet. As you can see from the pictures, it appears to be growing from a conifer stump, probably some pine. It's from alameda/coco county region. Another question: Is it edible?
And one more request for good measure.

I found this one in Oregon about a month ago, near the central coast. I've spent years looking for actives, with absolutely no success whatsoever, and this particular mushroom struck me as the one that stood out above all other PNW psilocybe look-alikes.
The spore print was purple/purple-brown, the stem appeared to bruise black (or darkly) after like 2 hours maybe (not exactly sure, but it didn't happen immediately). It was growing right on the edge of a woodchip trail and grass, and there were a bunch of A. muscaria in the area. If I had to guess, I would say it's an Allenii, but hell if I know, never seen any wild psilocybe species. Can't say much about taste or smell, as I didn't taste it, and if I'm remembering correctly, it smelled earthy and mushroomy, maybe slightly neutral-sweet.
Thanks in advance.

Looks like Gymnopilus ventricosus. Try tasting a piece, is it bitter?

Gymnopilus looks correct for the first one and Psilocybe is correct for the second one.

Likely G. ventricosus like Byrain said. Too bitter to eat and not active.

Sweet, thanks guys. I tasted a halfway dry piece, it seemed a little bitter, had a tingly almost spicy kind of sensation on the tongue, especially the tongue tip, and it seemed to deposit some slightly mucilaginous liquid as I chewed. It didn't seem outright disgusting, but definitely not delicious.
If I have more ID requests, could I just update this same thread with new photos? Or would it likely get ignored?
