Rules for my new house. Any suggestions? 5

So after me and my bro fix up the place we're gonna have ourselves a chill bachelor pad. I compiled a list of rules for us to abide by, i'm gonna run it by my bro and I think he will agree with them. Do you guys have any other suggestions that would be worth adding to the list?
"No heroin, methamphetamine, cocaine, or non-prescribed prescription drugs allowed. Only exception is amphetamines (adderall, ritalin, etc) strictly for studying allowed if one chooses to do so.
No gang or cartel affiliates, or any other "thugs" allowed.
No violence or unnecessary aggression allowed.
No theives allowed.
No peeing, pooping, or vomiting anywhere aside from the inside of a toilet bowl or back yard allowed. (Pooping not allowed outside though.)
No talking about politics for more than an hour a day unless everybody is exceptionally interested in the topic at the time.
Wash your own dishes.
No blasting music at an unnecessarily loud volume.
Don't piss off the neighbors.
While the majority of food will be shared, if someone claims a particular item as their own then respect their wishes.
No smoking ciggaretes inside unless it is below 15F or above 95F and going outside is exceptionally uncomfortable. Even in these cases an E-cig is vastly preferred though. Hookah is OK to smoke indoors though because hookah's are badass.
No DEA, FBI, CIA, or LEO officers allowed.
No douchebags, scumbags, or any other human "bags" allowed.
No racism or other prejudices allowed, but no annoying preachy "social justice warriors" allowed either.
No guns allowed except for in the case of conceiled carry permits. If someone that none of us personally know is carrying, then they should be respectfully asked to leave their gun in their car.
If you pee outside of the toilet bowl then clean it well, don't just leave it to get all gross.
Nobody who hasn't showered in more than 4 days allowed.
No doing "burnouts" in the dead end allowed.
No psychotic or psychopathic people allowed. Nobody with borderline personality disorder either."
Intelligently discuss

You should also demand a cut of any drugs sold on the premise, even if they don't sell them specifically in the whole but leave your house to sell drugs, ask for a cut.
That's kinda a rule of thumb anyways.

Also I dont understand, why would youy not accept meth but amphetamine is fine? They are basically the same drug but one is slightly more euphoric and a tad more potent but still both produce the same effects pretty much. May as well say MDMA/MDA is not allowed either heh.

"majority of food will be shared"
I wouldn't go down this road, it will cause big problems.
Have separate food items for each person so there's no disputes. I have heard of huge problems over a slice of cheese, it's not worth it.

I don't want a bunch of speed freaks running around rambling about government conspiracies and jerking off for 12 hours & stealin my shit.
If someone wants to take an adderall so they could get their study on it's fine by me, there's no need to bring meth dealers into the picture.

What kind of retard fights over a piece of cheese? The rule says if someone claims something as their own then to respect their wish, so people can just claim stuff as whatever.
My friend who's moving in with me is a pretty respectful person as am I, I highly doubt there's gonna be any cheese slice disputes in our future.

No cocaine? That rule blows
How do you know if someone is a thief before they steal from you?
Can you two own guns or are guns strictly prohibited?
Man that rule list sucks because most of it is self explanatory and a list isn't really necessary and it would probably annoy me if I was your bro and you presented me with that list

I understand you dont want meth dealers or sketchbags but not everyone if not most people who do meth recreationally (not addicts) wont be stealing and jerking off in your house. I for one have never done anything like that on meth or amphetamines. Its the company you keep bro reguardless of what they are into I know people who will do exactly what you said without being on drugs at all.
If I was to visit you would have a hard time even telling if I was high on amphetamines or any upper like that, unless I was very cranked up but even then I would just be talking fast. I have much respect for others belongings/dwellings and would never do anything to make people uncomfortable or upset in their own homes.

Have a designated cleaning day, or chores that each of you will accomplish that week. Most of the disputes living with roommates was either house/bathroom cleaning, dishes, or food.

Sharing food sounds like a dud move.
You could be gunning for that last slice of cheese at 4am, knowing that it had been there, only to find it's already been snatched up, putting a dampener on your dairy desires.

You might be in trouble right there.
I figure rules usually get fucked by someone and the whole system falls apart. My first place got fucked over by everyone. Guys fucking girls I liked in my bedroom. People bringing crack and coke over. A friend jealous of his freaky miniature girlfriend bugged the place. I remember seeing what I was not sure if it was cum or hair conditioner in the shower corner. Also a real blast when someone brings over a jug of datura tea! Plus people stealing shit like an Ivory skull pipe.

I'm glad to find out that sharing food is a somewhat bad idea, I def wouldn't have thought too much into that if it wasn't for this thread
But then again I share food with my friends all the time as it is some of you guys sound like you know some really petty people if you honestly get in fights over cheese

It's not about a slice a cheese, it's about someone feeling someone else is taking advantage of the community food.
Are you going to be OK with a friend that's eating food that you paid for in the first place, or roommates feeding friends with the food?
People get really petty once they feel they're getting fucked over, community food is a horrible idea, but you do what you want to with your trustworthy friends. Time to learn a lesson.

A planned mean when groceries are split works well. But groceries in general can get out of hand. I would hate it when I buy 50$ worth of groceries and 2 days later its all gone and I barley used it. After a while you feel like you are feeding your buddy and his friends. I was in a situation where one of my roommates friends would dip into my weed, eat all my food, and drink all my juice. Fucking deadbeat never even said thank you. Would never chip in for pizza, weed, etc... My current living situation is much better because I have my own fridge in a shared house. We still have community meals a couple of times a week, but our food is separate. Works much better that way

No douchebags, scumbags, or any other human "bags" allowed.
U should rewrite this rule to exclude "slut bags".
And sharing food is going to end up with male terrority conflicts.

Naw, if one person buys a bag of bagels every week, and the other buys a bag of pears or apples, all will be well in the household.
However if one only buys fishsticks and the other only buys flav-o-ice popsicles, there will be conflict. Fists if there is no ketchup.

It's a bad mix. They'll be scraping by on spoonfuls of peanut butter for weeks unless order is restored. Gotta start with the basics, and those are bread and fruit. You need a base before you can build a food pyramid.
And he's living with a marine. There will be knives, darts, nerf guns and possibly rifles.

since mostly what I do when high is talk about international politics with my friends lol

How anyone could limit the range of potential talking points in their house and consider themself a free spirit is beyond me...
I think making a rule list is ridiculous in the first place, but i was under the impression this was more just an outlet for you to get excited about your place.

Sheekle said: So after me and my bro fix up the place we're gonna have ourselves a chill bachelor pad.
95% of these rules shouldn't have to be mentioned as rules. It should just be common sense. What kind of fucking moron has to mention that you can only shit in the toilet? Is your bro a dog??? Thieves, psychos, violence and bums... If you have to write a rule in order to prevent this you need to stay the fuck away from the guy you intend to live with.
Thank god you made no rules about rape. That would have taken all the fun out of living with you.

I've known this friend who i'm moving with for 6-7 years now, we've spent hundreds upon hundreds of hours partying with each other throughout the years. I think we'll get along fine. This thread of rules is one of those semi-sarcastic things where I'm like serious about all the rules but not as serious about how serious i'm portraying myself as being about them, seriously.

Who the fuck spends 400$ a month on food? You need to learn to shop better.
I spend less than 200$

I guess in retrospect if I was spending 400$ a month on food I wouldn't share either.

I had a group of friends that lived with ~ 7 - 8 people at any given time in the same house. Big house. They had one guy living with them who would always ask for bites from everyone's food (they barely ever cooked, mostly got food from restaurants and stuff). They had a white board that they would put a tally on every time he asked. They didn't label the board, and everyone in the house knew what the tallies were for but him. Was pretty funny thinking back on it. The board had hundreds of tallies racked up over 6 or 7 months.

Smoking rule seems good, as does do your own dishes...RIGHT AFTER EATING, and don't piss of the neighbors. I agree with not sharing food as well. Throw down on a gourmet meal for two if you both decide to do so on a certain night and split the cost of that.
I would add: no gherkin jerking in the shower, and have a chore list.
For example, Monday-clean bathroom Tuesday- outside (lawn, leaves, etc.) Wednesday - Kitchen Thursday - dusting & floors Friday - Party Saturday - Party Sunday - Clean up after partying and empty all trash cans

I would hope so not wishing that drama on anyone
There have been a few people who were reasonable, and Ive lived off the generosity of family and friends which I appreciate One of my greatest desires is to return that generosity, which would take the rest of my life. At the moment I contribute little (which isnt always the case, ive sacrificed much for others financially and otherwise)
That being said, I dont like to be used, and assholes abound. A lot of times people just dont mesh well in close quarters too. Split food arrangements have always gone sour ime, borrowing and lending money frequently or in large sums as well

pay your rent on time!!!!
this is my house what I say goes.
I can make rules, you cant. my rules are law no matter how irrational.
don't like it move out.
have them sign eviction papers up front and pay a deposit equal to the court costs for eviction. that way when you want them gon you just go to the courthouse and file.

Doing your own dishes is none of my business, as long as there are enough dishes left to get something going, and as long as the sink is free of your dish pile and there's a clear run to make food without hurdles.
Sharing meals and whatnot sounds fine but it could get iffy when it comes to smaller things,
If I am expecting to come home and eat a cheese sandwich, then good.
I don't want to have to make a detour to get more cheese in case the packet has been finished.
Some people have bigger appetites than others.
Food sharing sounds hetty in theory, but think of the cheese slice massacre.
