FP Series II flowhood

Do all of these flowhoods have different speed settings that need to be adjusted? I just put mine together as is.  Wouldn't it already be calibrated for optimal performance? Is the flame test still applicable to see if the flow is correct?  I found this pic and someone said that angle was at 45 degress and just right

Mine is pushing it twice as far back to about 90 degrees where if it was any stronger it might put the flame out.  Too much?

I built my flow hood which has a constant speed. Once the 100cfm is met more air would just wear your filter out faster? 100cfm is the min I believe though
I'm sure they've calculated the static pressure with the fan for optimal performance
As long as the filter is rated for the amount of airflow youre pushing through it then you should be fine.

When you say put together I'm guessing you bought it?

Ya bought it from fungi perfecti you just had to screw a few parts together yourself. but I read for a series IV hood you had to make some adjustments with the blower speed so I was thinking maybe I missed something.

This is for information purposes only, please do not fuck with the motor wiring unless you are certified!

First of all, I have ZERO experience with flowhoods, but..............
Most blower motors are capable of variable speeds, I'm sure it was pre-wired to attain the proper flow.

Pretty much every blower motor I have ever wired (mostly commercial) have a red, black and sometimes blue wires which correspond to different speeds as well as white (neutral) and green (ground).
Obviously a single pole toggle switch is only capable of 2 settings, on and off, hence one speed, also the same if it just has a plug.
All of this info is on the nameplate of the motor, if it is visible.
