Advice on straw logs

Hi everyone,
First post here.
I'm trying to grow Mediterranean oyster mushrooms from a syringe I bought of spore works. I made BRF cakes and inoculated some straw logs.
However, it looks like my harvest is going to be pretty limited from how things are going, not sure why. Appears as thought the oysters only pinned in a few places. I cut lots of holes in the plastic and tried to follow the RR tek as close as possible. Didn't go for any fruiting chamber because it sounded unnecessary for oysters, maybe that was a bad call, idk. I've been misting them a few times a day.
Any advice on what might improve yield if I tried this again?
Thanks

It doesnt look fully colinized. I would have left it in the bag till totally colinized. Completely white.

You might be in the wrong forum, but your grow looks good. Especially for a first timer.
Take that whole straw log and dunk it in water for a few hours. Keep the fruiting area humid, or better yet, put it in a SGFC. If you can keep the moisture content high, then you should be able to improve the yeild you posted.

Have you been monitoring the RH of that room? Winter always plays havoc with mine

Thanks for the advice guys. I took the logs out of the bags when pins started to form, guess I could've left them a little longer. Haven't checked the humidity, but considering the fact that there's snow outside it's probably too low.

Hopefully a mod will get this over to the GMM board.
Nice first round, especially considering you pulled the plastic. In the future, you should leave the plastic on your straw and punch holes all over it every 3" or so...this will aid in water retention of the sub and the mushrooms will grow out the holes. It also makes it easier to handle.

Again, nice work!
