no dumb questions when you break it up it has a recovery period but often times it is weakened from bacateria and you will end up in a worse spot then ya started...fruit it once it is colonized

The brown spot was just water the blobs looking things are the bad stuff on the surface how can I tell if it's completely consolidated when the whole top if fluffy, with all the other tubs I've wanted like 13 days but with this it's hard to tell

You need to drag down the box. Hard af to do on a phone, use a laptop to drag the window bigger.

Looks contaminated and bacterial. I have never had one pe tub look like that before. The pool of yellow liquid is metabolites. Present from digestion and the contamination present. It might produce something but it will be very low. If you use bags make sure to have good technique and use liquid culture.
Don't make the lc from spores either.. spores to grain and spores to lc is a shit shot. Start from agar. Don't dab the pool of water either. Don't ever do that. You risk drying out the surface more than anything. Pooling is a sign of lack of FAE or too much misting/water or both. You need to dial in your mono, use clean spawn and start from agar. This might turn over something as I said but I'd start over. Cheers, and good luck.

I soak up pooling water with the corner of a paper towel myself
Lots of reasons for pooling. I think in the OP's case its a combination of high heat generated by a bacterial sub coupled with over field capacity sub, exacerbated by the fact that the surface isn't level.

I've done that many times with success. Most times I suggest this people will dab onto the surface and over dry it. I think a better advice is to just leave it until you can get good enough at dialing in the variables to have the right water content.
I'd agree. High heat from contamination causing bigger temp difference making more condensation. Also probably tilting the lid over and over to peep, causing the water condensating on top to drip down the sides.

The tilted lid is a risk but I only see that on the top stacked tub. The ones underneath are condensation free.
